Hello everyone! I have some personal and professional news to share, so here we go. After 3.5 years of working at WhatsApp, I was unfortunately impacted by the #MetaLayOffs and many of my incredible colleagues, some of whom I have the privilege of calling friends. Working for WhatsApp and joining Meta meant going full circle for me after arriving to Silicon Valley back in 2005 to study at Menlo College, when Facebook was getting started. Joining the company has been a truly rewarding journey. I truly cherish, enjoy and value the opportunity I had to work alongside some of the best people in the industry, who are brilliant human beings, building products that help bring safe and reliable payments to millions of people globally. While change is a natural part of any organization’s evolution, I acknowledge and support those affected. To my colleagues who have been impacted by the #layoffs, I want to express my deepest empathy and solidarity. Now, after having taken some time to recharge and becoming a father for the first time, I’m excited and looking forward to my next chapter. I’ve decided to open source my process and share my journey with you, my LinkedIn network, so you will be hearing more from me soon. In the meantime, here are three ways that you can help: 1.
