What is the medicine for chaos? Join us as we speak with Maria Pouroullis Carpenter from South Africa as she shares her story of finding her way and how her personal journey of navigating tragedy helped her to find joy and purpose. Maria has had a diverse career spanning software development, management consulting, executive leadership, and entrepreneurship. Maria has spent her career creating an environment of expectation that cultivates a culture of results. She takes us on a journey of success, then burnout, then back to finding her true place of happiness and how that happened after she had children. The lessons they have taught her in being the leader she is meant to be. We discuss the challenges women face when they are conflicted with their masculine energy and the consequences when they are out of alignment with their feminine side. This showed clearly when she experienced burnout at such a young age. Then one of her 6 brothers was killed tragically, she felt like her world had ended, and not even love could bring her back for a while. Then she found plant medicine and mindfulness work bringing her back to the world and her family. In 2018 she was sought out to run a large tech team and was baffled as to why they had contacted her only to realize this was what she needed. Given her experiences with connecting her masculine and feminine, she was able to quickly realize some wins for the team and align the expectations with the results. She talks about getting clear with what you want and how to communicate that to others and align the team on a common vision. But you must emotionally connect and be engaged with that vision for it to come to fruition. ➟ Is your Mental Diet holding back your leadership? 🤯Women authored only 8.5% of bestselling business books, equal to those by men named John or Jon. If your leadership advice comes from the same demographic of sources, you’re stuck in a bias loop. ➟Sure, different men have different insights. But let’s face it, you’re viewing the world through a lens that is blind to other experiences. This is a dangerous trap for any leader. To disrupt bias, underfunding, and inequity, you must actively seek voices that challenge your worldview. If you’re not diversifying your mental diet, you’re missing out on perspectives that could help you: ↳ confront bias in decision-making ↳ connect with marginalized groups ↳ craft more inclusive and effective solutions ➟ When was the last time you picked up a leadership book by a woman? Or by someone whose race, gender, or lived experiences differ from yours? If your bookshelf is a mirror of yourself, it’s time for a change. This isn’t just about diversity for diversity sake. It’s about reshaping how you see challenges and opportunities. 🏁Start with Minette Norman’s "The Boldly Inclusive Leader." It’s not just another leadership book, it’s an actionable game-changer for breaking free from outdated patterns. Leaders who make an impact don’t settle for what’s easy. They embrace discomfort and seek out diverse perspectives because that’s where true growth lies. So, are you ready to disrupt your mental diet? I have pinned a whole host of books 📚 to help you change up your mental diet! —— Picture credit: Minette’s co-author Karolin Helbig at a beautiful welcome party that she hosted for Minette’s European tour this past weekend in Germany. —— PS: Please include other non John/Jon leadership books we need to encourage leaders to read. --------- 👍 Like, ✍ Comment, ♻ Re-post Follow Archita Fritz for BOLD insights in the boardroom and beyond. #readysetbold

I'm back after a few glorious days away. Seeing friends, walks, bbqs, spa days and a 4* dog friendly hotel with my boys. It's been so much of what I needed. Before even realised it. There's been so many big things going on. Renovation. That's becoming a house move (potentially). Next stage of fertility. That I've not been listening to what I needed. I was so busy doing, that I wasn't taking any time for being. And we're all human beings when it comes to it. NOT human doings. My reminder to you today. That you can't lead when you're at the bottom of your own priority list. When: Everyone else comes first, all day long You sacrifice your time with the first pull on your time. You neglect those health niggles, miss your check ups You say yes when you mean no, leaving you feeling resentful. You take on another development opportunity to prove yourself. This is the road to becoming a frustrated, resentful and reactive leader. On the road to burn out. It's even harder in the summer when you might be juggling, work, children and the work that comes BEFORE and when back from a holiday. Reminder today. YOU COME FIRST. Leadership starts with you. Lead yourself first. Know your needs. Meet your needs. ^^ It's as simple as this. Question what do you need today? I don’t belong here. That’s what my imposter syndrome used to tell me all the time. I used to think I was the only one who felt this way. Like I had somehow gotten lucky. And that they would soon find out I wasn’t as good as they thought I was. But here’s something most people don’t realize: Imposter syndrome disproportionately affects high achievers and groups with limited representation at work. For example: - Women - People of colour - Introverts I had the trifecta. Early in my career, most of my mentors were white extroverted males. So it’s no wonder I felt imposter syndrome. We need to see leaders who actually look like us to show us what’s possible. I love America Ferrera’s take on imposter syndrome: “It’s not my fault that I feel like I don’t belong in this space. Everything for my whole life has told me I don’t belong in this space. So it’s not really imposter syndrome. It’s [an] appropriate reaction to what I’ve been told my whole life.” What do you think about this reframe? Would love to hear below 👇 --- 👋 Hi, I’m Amanda! I help introverted leaders find their voice, advocate for themselves, and make their greatest impact without acting like an extrovert. 🚀 The Secret Weapon of Thriving Women Leaders🚀 The women in leadership roles who are truly thriving—not just surviving—are using techniques from the field of energy psychology. Yes, you read that right. So, what exactly is energy psychology, and how does it help women excel in leadership? Let’s dive into what makes these tools so powerful and why more female leaders are embracing them... 🔑 Unlocking Self-Awareness and Emotional Balance Energy psychology modalities, such as EFT Tapping, breathwork, and Quantum Flow, help leaders alchemise their emotions, raise their vibration and stay connected to their true sense of self. 🌱 Transforming Limiting Beliefs Many women in leadership face an inner dialogue that questions their capabilities—a voice whispering, “Am I good enough?” or “Do I really belong here?” Energy psychology allows leaders to identify and release these unconscious limiting beliefs, replacing them with empowered identities. By shifting from "I'm not enough" to "I am more than enough," women leaders unlock their full potential and embrace a new sense of self-belief. 🚀 Raising Energy, Raising Impact Research shows that our energy levels directly affect our influence on others. Women leaders who use energy psychology techniques can consciously elevate their energy, making them magnetic and their impact FELT by those around them. 💡 Cultivating Inner Resilience for Sustainable Success Burnout is a huge issue in leadership today. Energy psychology techniques like EFT Tapping, breathwork and Quantum Flow alchemise emotions, reset the autonomic nervous system, reduce cortisol and keep you grounded. They are powerful weapons in prevention over cure. 🌟 The Outcome: Leading with Presence and Power The impact? These women become the kind of leaders others naturally want to follow. They lead with presence, communicate with authenticity, and inspire trust by showing up with emotional and energetic intelligence. They’re creating change, cultivating healthy cultures, and leading their teams with a powerful blend of empathy and resilience. There’s no better time to bring this transformational approach into your leadership toolkit. 💼✨ DM me to get the link to experience a taste of EFT Tapping for yourself! #WomenInLeadership #EnergyPsychology #EmotionalIntelligence #LeadershipDevelopment #FemaleLeaders #PersonalGrowth #LeadershipWellbeing #EFT #Tapping #QuantumFlow #Breathwork

How I Took Control of My Emotional Well-Being (So You Can Too...) 60% of women report feeling stressed at work. But let's face it, Leadership is not about perfection; it's about resilience. When things get tough, pause but never quit. When doubt creeps in, stand firm because you're building more than just success; you're shaping futures. 🔹 Delegate with Trust. You’re not meant to carry it all. True strength lies in building strong teams, not in shouldering every burden. 🔹 Guard your mental Space. Just as you protect your goals, protect your peace. Without your mental health, even the clearest vision will be lost. You’re not just a leader you’re a force. 💙 Keep pushing boundaries. 💙 Breaking barriers. 💙 Leading with courage. 📌 Ps. Real leadership is about the balance between strength and self-care. Let’s redefine what it means to lead powerfully. #Womeninleadership #Resilientleadership

Instead of focusing on what you want to eliminate—whether it’s a bad habit, an unhealthy relationship, or excess weight—you focus on adding more of what aligns with your goals. 🎯 By doing so, the positive actions and behaviors naturally "crowd out" the negative ones, making them less appealing or relevant. This approach helps in creating a sustainable and positive lifestyle, where the unwanted elements fade away as they get crowded out by the better choices you’re making. __________________________________________________ 👋 I'm Dave, an advisor and credentialed coach. ✅ Ready to love your life in business, leadership, and relationship?
