Here's some key stats of the current industry spend in sponsorship: - Globally, airlines lead the way in sponsorship spend. What a proud moment it was indeed to be part of this amazing experience and nerve-wracking at the same time having to present and showcase the product to the world press. Teamwork goes a long way. We had about a week to learn the product ourselves 😗 hence the nerves but we had a strategy to tag each other when the mind goes blank 🤣. Journalists are pros at asking questions that makes one go 🤔. What if I told you that you could fly in business or first class without breaking the bank? This, my friends, is the beauty of miles and points. Let's use Qsuites (a Daily Drop favorite) as an example. Qsuites are simply the best business-class seats in the sky. Qatar Airways, Etihad, Icelandair, Saudia, all of these airlines have one thing in common : they allow passengers to do a stopover. This means they allow customers to break their trip between two connecting flights throughout the network by staying multiple days at the city where the airline is based. With one of the most comprehensive Europe to Africa network, and serving some of the paradise island of the overseas territories Air France drives a lot of traffic through their Paris Charles de Gaulle hub. Paris is one of the most visited cities on earth. But the national carrier of the country does not offer a stopover program? Why is that ? We do not have the answer, because most of us do not work in leadership. The country is about to witness one of the most important sports events this summer. This would be ideal. And if it works, why not keep it? Why not allow customers to visit one of the most historically significant cities in Europe, for a few days whilst travelling with AF. There are plenty of hotels to choose from with various price ranges, and I am convinced at least a handful will be willing to sign a partnership with the airline. Especially given an existing partnership already exist with the giant Accor. So if you are from Air France leadership and are reading this, consider this : you will drive more traffic because people want to visit France and it can be expensive, and you will help the local economy as well!
