You may be taking all possible supplements to help with your nutritional goals - but the question here is - are you supplementing it? or are you relying on it? Supplements are meant to act as "add-ons" to your diet only when you truly cannot achieve it from your diet or if there is an underlying medical condition which demands supplementation. With the market flooded with so many supplements, its easy to fall prey to the ads and try out various supplements. However, its important to practice caution and not take anything without your doctor's or your dietitian's advice. So, here's what you can begin with: - Always try your best to take care of your nutritional needs through natural and real foods. Snack healthy & prep in advance. Do your regular grocery shopping and stock healthy ingredients always. - Improve your nutritional uptake by improving your lifestyle and bringing in exercise in your routine. - Drink plenty of water to support the nutrient transportation and absorption. - Get good quality sleep to help the body to repair and rejuvenate. - Manage stress better. Lets focus on getting the basics right before we jump into products or supplements. Our body is highly sophisticated and intelligent and will always make the best use of the right quality food provided in the right amounts. No short cuts. Take the course of long term health through sustainable methods by relying on natural foods, and only consider medically approved supplementation if its really really necessary. Take care! What Are the Best Supplements for Muscle Building and Strength Training? While some people are rather scared and apprehensive of taking supplements, the other lot is concerned about the use of food supplements and their impact upon muscular size and bodybuilding. What do I really need? In reality You only “need” to exercise hard and eat a diet high in protein and essential fats, and consume a slight calorie surplus over your body’s daily calorific requirements. You don't necessarily require supplements provided the above is being met. What you don't need is a whole lot of JUNK that is easily consumed by most people. We tend to overthink about supplements and its harmful effects but we normally don't ever think before having a large coke (140 calories) , a Big Fat Cheese Burger (300 calories)or a spicy Chola Bhatura (600 calories)! No matter how bad these are for our body we don't think twice! Thinking of trying supplements and not sure of the benefits? Supplementation can be beneficial for various reasons, depending on individual needs and health goals. Here are four common reasons why people may choose to supplement their diet: Nutrient Deficiencies: Many people do not get an adequate amount of essential nutrients from their diet alone. In such cases, targeted supplementation can help fill the nutritional gaps and ensure optimal health. Enhanced Performance: Athletes and individuals engaged in high-intensity physical activity may require higher amounts of certain nutrients to support energy production, muscle recovery, and overall performance. Supplements can enhance exercise performance and promote muscle growth and recovery. Specific Health Conditions: Certain health conditions or stages of life may necessitate supplementation to support overall health and well-being. Optimizing Health and Longevity: Even individuals with a balanced diet may choose to supplement with certain nutrients to optimize health and longevity. For example, omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil supplements are known for their anti-inflammatory properties and cardiovascular benefits. It's important to note that while supplementation can be beneficial, it should always be alongside a healthy diet. Whole foods provide a wide array of nutrients, fiber, and phytochemicals that work synergistically to promote health. Remember though, we don't always get all the nutrients we need due to soil depletion, green harvesting and our stressful lives so it is wise to fill in the missing gaps. If you struggle to get all the nutrients you need from diet alone and would like some help on your wellness journey with supplement recommendations, drop us a message or via our profile links to book a wellness discovery call. Supplements It's always best to obtain as many nutrients as possible from food, but this can be challenging depending on your lifestyle, health status, and the demands placed on your body. In such cases, you can bridge the gap with intelligent supplementation that complements your diet. Before taking any supplement, it's important to consult with your doctor or dietitian, especially if you are taking medication or managing a chronic condition. Your daily objective is to be consistent with the supplements that are most suitable for you. There is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to supplementation. When selecting nutritional supplements, ensure that the products are: - Third-party tested and free from banned or prohibited substances - From a reputable company with a history of ethical business practices - Free from artificial sweeteners, colors, and unnecessary additives - Effective and well-formulated with benefits that are relevant to you.

9moAs someone who suffered from a spinal cord injury, I resonate with this article. While food choices are very important, so are workout routines. I was told by a chiropractor if I kept going with running and poor body mechanics, I would be crippled someday. I love how Viaro offers personalized fitness programs. So many times, people go to the gym (guilty as charged), and do exercises that they think are helpful. But then in time they either end up not seeing results from these exercises, or they end up hurting themselves.
