Driving simulators are transforming how we develop Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, offering more than just efficiency—they're changing the entire approach to vehicle development. 🔻𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: By enabling much of the calibration work to be done virtually, driving simulators reduce the need for physical prototypes. 🔻𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Success in #ADAS development requires cross-functional collaboration. From vehicle dynamics teams to control systems engineers, simulators help bring everyone together by providing shared data and models. 🔻𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: Simulators allow engineers to test complex driving scenarios that are difficult, time-consuming, or costly to replicate in real-world environments. This includes the ability to modify key factors like road conditions or vehicle behavior, enabling precise control over testing variables. As part of our 2024 ZERO PROTOTYPES Summit we hosted an engaging panel discussion on this topic featuring Tille Karoline Rupp from Porsche Engineering, Jens Dornhege from Ford Motor Company, Lorenzo Fasani from Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., Michael Bidlingmaier from Mercedes-AMG GmbH-AMG and moderator Michael Hoffmann from VI-grade. 🎥 Watch the full video at: https://lnkd.in/dyvSGhVS #vigrade #ZPS2024 #ZeroPrototypes #ADAS #drivingsimulator
