🇩🇪 🚀 Berlin, Berlin, wir fahren nach AWS Berlin! 14-16 May 2024 🚀 🇩🇪 - Book in below to meet with our team! ➡ Plus - there's this marketing perk thing where if you book a meeting, you will get a free pair of Airpods 🎵 😻 ! (p.s. if you don't want them, I'll take them off your hands) 🤔 Continuously watching dashboards after a release, waiting to see what might go wrong? 🙄 Heavily focused on recovery operations? 😖 Still using manual processes for deciding when to roll out or rollback? Well, then we are the right people to talk to! Come and say hi! Our engineering team members and experts in feature management, experimentation, product, and more will be there! https://lnkd.in/g3VAdm5v #AWS #Networking #Freestuff Kevin Holler Sammie W. Attending AWS re:Invent for first time? Here are my top 3 tips: 1/ Pack comfortable shoes - you'll easily walk 15-20k steps daily between venues on the Strip. 2/ Schedule breaks between sessions - back-to-backs across venues are nearly impossible. 3/ Check out chalk talks and code talks - they're more interactive than breakouts and great for deep discussions. What other tips would you add? See you all in Vegas in a week!

Check out the next AWS Brighton User Group event - a GenAI Jam in a Jar! Thanks to Matheus Guimaraes and Sambit Bhattarai for helping to make this happen. If you're in Brighton on 14th November pop down with your laptop! #aws #awscommunity #awsusergroups
Hello Builders, We're excited to announce the next AWS Brighton User Group meetup - we'll be running one of the first community-led 'AWS Jam in a Jar'. AWS Jams are a gamified learning experience in which you can get hands-on with AWS and solve technical challenges to win points and, ultimately, prizes! So, grab a laptop and come down to join us. There will be the usual free beer and pizza courtesy of our sponsor Logicata, and your user group leaders will be on hand to facilitate and help you if you get stuck. The team at Silicon Brighton will also be providing their usual amazing support for this event. Full details on the meetup page - RSVP now to secure your place! https://lnkd.in/euZN9r_D #aws #awscommunity #awsusergroups #awsjam

🤓 Presentation incoming - AWS Summit London, Community Lounge, 3:00 PM. Retrieval Augmented Generation works extremely well ...during scripted demos. For real-world huge diverse datasets varying in quality, the pattern is no longer that simple to apply. During our presentation, together with Kacper Włodarczyk, we'll briefly describe RAG, point out what strategies and tricks can be applied to 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 and - most importantly - define the proper starting point and prerequisites of every successful GenAI-related project. Interested? ➡️ hop into Community Lounge for COM206 at 3:00 PM 🤗! #AWS #AWSCommunity #AWSSummitLondon #generativeai

I'm thrilled to share that ColorRecognizer has levelled up significantly - it's now recognizing colors 15x faster! Video below shows the app recognizing a free area takes merely around 1 second, while rectangle and ellipse areas are done in ~100 milliseconds. It's all thanks to migrating the server to AWS using serverless APIs, and Lambda functions. https://lnkd.in/gkWGN5mi

Building more than a dozen of apps (services) which communicate with each other brings extra layer of complexity and addition requirements. While developer experience decreases dramatically. Don’t believe? Try to debug an issue in event driven architecture with just 3 apps💥 How requirements change exactly and how to approach them - you can find out first at my talk at AWS Summit in Berlin on Mai 15/16 😉

1wNice, but maybe you can show the meetup times in Las Vegas time? It’s more difficult to plan in German time zone 😅
