Junk fees are a little litmus test for whether and when Canada can take a more cohesive/collaborative approach to policy design and enforcement. They are super annoying microcosms of market power that get dressed up with fancy little names. But they are as difficult to detect as they are to rationalize, and most of the time we are relying on everyday people to call them out. Let's call that bluff!

18hKeep fighting the good fight Vasiliki (Vass) B.. Junk fees in financial services are particularly egregious, especially the fees that consumers pay when trying to change to a lower cost provider (like Wealthsimple 🙂).
