Part 4 of the “Series” The Power of a 10-Minute Daily Check-In for Teachers As educators, we know how fast-paced the school day can be. But have you ever tried setting aside just 10 minutes each morning for a quick daily check-in? This small habit can lead to a more organized, stress-free day in the classroom. Here’s how to make it work: Review your lesson plans – Are your materials and objectives ready to go? If needed, adjust before students arrive. Check for potential challenges – Tech issues, schedule changes, or classroom dynamics can come up. A quick review helps you stay ahead. Plan transitions – Smooth classroom transitions are key to maintaining focus and flow during the day. Reflect on student needs – Any specific accommodations or resources needed? A quick check ensures you’re prepared for everyone. By making this a daily habit, you can reduce last-minute stress, enhance your readiness, and create a more effective learning environment for your students. Try it for a week—those 10 minutes can make a huge difference!

Do not reinvent the wheel, ‘modeling’ is here to stay. Part 2- Modeling helps new and seasoned teachers grab students' attention because they are familiar with the learning process at birth. It is part of their DNA. This must remain an essential part of the K-12 framework for promoting learning and mastery of skills. We need to meet students where they are, to give them the necessary tools to succeed. As facilitators, we are mandated to empower every learner, all learners to take charge of their own learning process, and eventually become productive citizens.  Educators at heart empower all their students to enable them to acquire the necessary skills to solve problems, their personal problems. Since I teach multiple intelligences, I always diversify every content that is included in my lessons.
