Three months ago, I decided to join Statsig as the first customer data scientist. Many people have asked me how I made this decision. It comes down to three things: 🌻 I know the job is hard but valuable. Data is a powerful weapon in today’s world, from developing new medicines, to evaluating AI models, or driving viral product growth. However, data is often underutilized, relegated to being some ‘fancy’ charts in executive reports. I believe in Statsig’s mission; once we help people unlock the value of data, we can drive unprecedented innovation across different industries. 🏆 I am proud to be part of this team. I remember how eye-opening it was to attend my first standup at Statsig - the company has daily standup where everyone shares their works and get applauds. Since then, every day I have been impressed with how many cool things are shipped at Statsig. One great example is Statsig Warehouse Native (WHN), the most popular WHN experimentation product today - https://lnkd.in/dBX7FxpZ 🚀 Just hop on the rocket ship. A new job should be thoroughly evaluated from many dimensions, but at the end of day, it still takes a leap of faith. Like the famous Silicon Valley quote: “If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat. Just get on.” Now I am onboard. I am super excited for the wonderful adventure ahead! If you want to chat about experimentation, data science, startups or something else, feel free to reach out and lets grab a coffee or bubble tea 😊

🚀 Introducing Company Crucible: Transform Raw Data into Actionable Insights Excited to share Company Crucible, an app I built in just two days using Bolt.new, OpenAI, and an API of a scraped database I’m working on with friends. I'm still in disbelief I was able to build this functionality as "a non-technical product guy"—this app literally CRUSHES what we paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to data/scraping/extraction companies to do at my old job (I'd be nervous if I were working at an old-school data vendor right now). 🔑 Key Features: 1️⃣ Extract structured data (names, titles, products, addresses) and industry affinity scores from raw company information. 2️⃣ Use sample data or paste in your own—it really works! (Only trained on 12 SIC/NAICS, but let me know if you'd like it expanded!) 3️⃣ Free searches and PDF downloads (Google login required after 2 searches). Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ Paste or Import Data: Use real-world examples or your own inputs. 2️⃣ Hit "Make Magic": Run AI models to extract structured insights (team members, addresses, phone numbers, and more) and compute industry affinity scores. 3️⃣ Analyze & Share: Review results and download detailed reports in PDF format. Building this has been an exciting journey, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or ideas. If you’re curious about generative AI, low-code tools, or exploring new ways to work with data, let’s chat! Feel free to reach out at [email protected]. (You can't tell I'm not a marketing guy, 9pm on a Thursday...probably not the best time to post 🤣 ) #GenerativeAI #DataInsights #LowCode #AIApplications #Innovation #BuiltInTwoDays

We have a strong cohort of well-known customers who failed at replicating Zenlytic. Their "customer journey," if you will, usually went: ➝ Realize what can be built with LLMs for Analytics ➝ Staff and resource an internal team (sometimes bigger than our company as a whole) ➝ Spend 6 months trying to build it and realize it is HARD ...then start a vendor search, look at a lot of platforms, and ultimately land with us. We've heard it time and time again: Forcing the right guardrails for the AI and creating strong feedback loops is something companies just can't crack on their own. I'd be lying if I said this wasn't flattering (obviously). I'm proud of what the team built and am forever grateful for their hard work. So, if your org is trying to build BI you can talk to in, feel free to book a demo with us instead 😉 Your data team and engineers have other things to worry about.

🚀 Do we need to necessarily fail fast every time? Or, can we use our experiences to see the unseen? 🚀 In data science, we often hear, “𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕, 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒐𝒏.” It’s great advice—especially when exploring uncharted territory. Testing ideas quickly can spark innovation and open new doors. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫. Sometimes, experience matters more than speed. If you’ve worked on similar projects or know the domain well, why not use that knowledge? Rushing for quick wins might mean missing the bigger picture. Take this: 🌐 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭: Launching a new AI feature? Sure, experiment. Try things out. Learn from mistakes. 📊 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭: Building a churn model for a subscription service? that too across geographies? You probably know what works. Slow down. Plan better. Go for the long-term edge. Blindly following “fail fast” can limit us. Patience and focus, when combined with experience, can build a strategic advantage. The key is knowing when to step on the gas—and when to hold back. What’s your approach? Do you always go for speed, or do you take the time to think strategically? Let’s share and learn! 👇 #theinsightedge #datascience #data #analytics #problemsolving

BIG ENTERPRET LAUNCH DAY! 🚀🙏 We are thrilled to launch, Wisdom, Enterpret's AI Copilot for customer insights. Wisdom can scour your entire customer feedback dataset—sales calls, support tickets, surveys, social media, reviews, slack messages, Snowflake tables—and convert it into genuinely actionable insights, in seconds. All insights are backed with citations from raw customer quotes, and the actual natural language query setup is inspectable and editable to its core to ensure complete transparency. My favorite workflow with Wisdom while working with our beta customers - Step 1 - Asking Wisdom to plot a trendline of all customer feedback reasons from a particular segment. Step 2—Double-click on a particular trend by asking Wisdom to summarize all the sub-reasons behind one trending issue. Step 3 - Spotting one sub-reason that seems like an immediate fix opportunity and ask Wisdom to write a PRD for that one sub-reason, backed with customer feedback citations for full context. For the last 3 years, we've been focused on converting valuable unstructured customer conversations from all channels into a time series database that is SQL queryable, thus creating an extremely valuable dataset for our customers that's updated continuously. With Wisdom, the power of that data set is unlocked for every one in your team through just natural language! Quick 90-second video to demo how exactly :)
