🌐 As the 5G Infrastructure Public Private Partnership (#5G PPP) Programme reached its end, we are proud to have contributed to the creation of the "Trials & Pilots Summary Brochure," a comprehensive document that wraps up T&P use cases in the #5G domain. 📑 The document provides a comprehensive overview of successful Phase 2 and 3 project use cases resulting from contests organised by the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (former 5G-IA) Trials Working Group. In alignment with the 5G PPP #Verticals #Cartography, it zooms into large-scale trials and pilots within Technology Readiness Levels 5 through 7, highlighting the practical applicability and advanced development stage of 5G-based use cases. We are honoured to have served as jury members in all editions and to have developed and managed the Verticals Cartography throughout 5G PPP's lifetime. How does our latest ACM upgrade overcome channel conflict and why is it important? 🤔 Active Channel Management (ACM) has been designed to analyse the radio spectrum and adopt the channel most free of congestion. 🛜 This rectifies a common problem in portable and temporary traffic management, whereby congestion in the radio spectrum can cause communication issues between units, leading to failures. Today, the radio environment is more challenging for temporary signals than ever before - especially in urban environments or areas of critical infrastructure. 📡 To combat this, our latest ACM enhancement monitors patterns in use of the 458MHz band over an extended period and remembers which channels to avoid. ❌ By intuitively taking the bigger picture into account, the system makes less channel changes because its choice of channel is exactly the one required to keep our signals running at peak performance!
