The sale of EVs in Europe and the US is slowing down as subsidies have been faced out. The prices are still a bit on the high side. To continue the transition towards a fossil free car park, one way would be to let China flood our markets, another to re-introduce subsidies to "our manufacturers"... To win some time, we now land on tariffs to win some time. Eventually, and not so far away, i think we need to find the way to produce EVs at a lower price. Probably, a complete re-invention of today's battery technology - making batteries a lot cheaper - is the key part of the solution to get back on track towards a greener car fleet again. Thoughts?

Lotus Eletre electric crossover - talk about the novelty Lotus has launched its first electric, five-door, all-wheel drive crossover, the Eletre, a luxury electric car with a range of 600km. The electric car's design features - independent air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, capable of changing ground clearance; - a fully steerable chassis; -active stabilizers and advanced aerodynamic aids; In terms of dimensions, the electric car is close to the Italian sports crossover Lamborghini Urus. But the Lotus Eletre is much lighter than the Urus, as all body panels of the electric car are made of aluminum. The ground clearance of Lotus Eletre is within typical for crossovers limits - 187 mm. The trunk volume corresponds to the impressive dimensions: 611 liters with the rear seats up and 1,532 liters with them folded down. The electric car is also equipped with a 350 kW DC fast charger. It allows for just 20 minutes to gain enough energy for 400 kilometers of driving. In general, Lotus Eletre is very well equipped with various electronics.
