AI accurately identifies normal chest radiographs! 🚀 We just published a study that shows that AI can accurately identify normal chest radiographs: https://rdcu.be/dIhTN The key points: - This was a multicenter study including 1670 consecutive chest radiographs. - Our tested AI system reached an AUC of 0.92 for the detection of normal chest radiographs. - 53% of normal chest radiographs could be identified by AI with still a negative predictive value of 98% for urgent findings. - By omitting half of the normal chest radiographs for review by a radiologist, the workload of reading chest radiographs potentially could be reduced by 15%. #artificialintelligence #radiology #workload #radboudumc #europeanradiology
