Here's what I've learned that helps keep the wheels turning when starting a #business that no one ever talks about…. #unmba It is an emotional rollercoaster…the the financial stress, the sacrifices you'll make—time, relationships, and parts of yourself you really care about. It's an uphill climb, and at times, it feels insurmountable. But not impossible especially if you build your inner circles with the RIGHT people: 1️⃣ Surround yourself with truth-tellers. You need people who care so much about your success that they'll give it to you straight. Not just encouragement when you're doing well, but also honest feedback on where you're slipping—or could do better. 2️⃣ Be wary of cheerleaders. It feels great to have people hyping you up, but if they're not helping you get better or move forward, how much value is it really adding? Encouragement is nice, but progress needs real substance. 3️⃣ Avoid relentless critics—but keep an open mind. Some people will just point out why your idea won't work, with no solutions or offers to help. Those voices can drain your energy fast. BUT—even harsh critics sometimes highlight risks you need to consider. Don't ignore the criticism outright; ask yourself if it's relevant, and then move on. 🔑 Key takeaway: #Entrepreneurship will test you in ways you didn't expect. But with the right people around you—those who are honest, constructive, and invested in your journey—you'll come out stronger. #startups

💡 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #𝟭 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗼 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 💡 Most founders start with an idea they’re passionate about. They build conviction around it, share it, pitch it—and before they know it, they’re locked in. But here’s the uncomfortable truth: often, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗲. Fear of being wrong. Fear of not having the “next big thing.” Fear that if they ask too many questions or look too closely, they might find cracks in their vision. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘂𝗽: • Founders avoid deep competitor research because they’re worried they’ll find someone already solving the problem. • They skip meaningful customer feedback because they don’t want to hear what might be “wrong” with their solution. • Critical feedback gets dismissed as coming from people who “don’t get it” or “just don’t see the vision.” We often hear that confidence is about “sticking to your guns,” 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 “𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲” 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴. Fear is part of the journey. Even seasoned entrepreneurs experience it. But as Mark Twain said, “𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿—𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿.” So, here’s a challenge: 📌 Lean into your fear. Ask the hard questions. Look at your competitors. Listen to that critical feedback, even when it stings. If it stings, then it probably requires your attention. That’s where real growth starts. #founder #startup #entrepreneurship #growthmindset #fear

Start here, with this thought. Address the root cause of how you're feeling to move forward. This is especially true for founders, leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs. We pour so much of our hearts and minds into our thoughts, ventures that it's easy to get bogged down. Here's how you can take this advice and apply it to your journey whether in startup, work or life : Unhappy? Feeling burnt out? It might be a sign you need to take care of yourself. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising regularly. When you take care of your body, you'll have more energy and resilience to face challenges. Uninspired? Feeling stuck in a rut? Sometimes change of scenery or a new perspective can do wonders. Try sparking new ideas by: - Reading industry publications or biographies of successful founders. - Connecting with mentors or joining online communities for founders. - Taking a short break to clear your head and come back to your project with fresh eyes. Unmotivated? Having trouble finding the fire? - Reconnect with your "why." - What problem are you passionate about solving? - How will your startup make a positive impact? Remind yourself of the bigger picture and the purpose that drives you. When you address the underlying reasons for how you're feeling, you'll be in a much better place to tackle the challenges of running a startup. What has been your experience ? Feel free to share with likeminded folks, you never know who you end up inspiring today. Godspeed. #startup #motivation #leadership #mentalhealth #entrepreneur #growthmindset #wellbeing

It is essential to understand the importance of admitting mistakes, highlighting that although it is difficult and often frowned upon, it is crucial for personal and professional success. Admitting that one was wrong requires vulnerability and can be especially challenging for entrepreneurs due to their personal investment in their projects. However, recognizing and learning from mistakes is fundamental for growth and improvement. The text notes that admitting mistakes can enhance a growth mindset, build trust, boost team morale, reduce stress, and improve problem-solving. Instead of striving for perfection, it is more important to be authentic, learn, and grow continuously. I recommend reading this post until the end.

This is SO CRUCIAL for success yet everyone HATES it?! 😭 Admitting you were WRONG 😬🙅♀️ It sucks sometimes, but it's a part of life. 🤷♀️You're not going to get everything right (I know I definitely haven’t while building P3PRMNT). Admitting you were wrong is challenging because it requires vulnerability and a willingness to confront personal weaknesses. 😮💨 It's particularly hard for entrepreneurs due to the high stakes and personal investment involved in their ventures. Entrepreneurs like me often pour their passion, time, and resources into their businesses, making it difficult to separate their identity from their work. Society has convinced us that admitting errors is perceived as a weakness rather than a strength. But that's SO wrong! We need to change this!! 👏👏 Owning up to mistakes is key for learning and growth, and it can make entrepreneurs stronger and smarter in the long run.💪😎 So, if you want to be more successful, start admitting you were wrong! Why? → Better Growth Mindset 📈: Entrepreneurs who recognise their errors can learn from them. Admitting them sooner rather than later helps to minimise damage or lost progress. → Builds Trust 🤝: Honesty and transparency build trust with employees, partners, and customers. Keep it honest! → Increases Team Morale 🎉: Employees respect leaders who are humble and willing to admit their faults. Decreasing fear of failure encourages more innovation too as people won’t be afraid to take risks. → Reduces Stress and Anxiety 😌: Hiding mistakes can be stressful and mentally taxing. Let it be free and take a breath! → Improves Problem-Solving 🧠: A proactive approach to problem-solving can prevent small issues from becoming larger, more costly problems. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being real, learning, and growing every day. 🙂↕️ When did you last say you got something wrong? And how did you feel after? 🤔✨ #Entrepreneur #GrowthMindset #Leadership #Honesty #Innovation #MentalHealth #Success #startup #mistake #brand #womeninbusiness

Making the choice for what path to take in a business (and life) isn’t about finding the “right” path. The “right” path is seen in hindsight. When you’re marching forwards, there are always many potential paths to success. So you’re actually trying to just do the ACT of CHOOSING well. Choosing well entails: 1. Curating diverse facts and expert opinions to account for your blind spots 2. Analyzing what you’ve gathered to choose an action - keep a weekly cadence of pushing through this to prevent analysis paralysis 3. COMMITTING to executing fully the action 4. Evaluating the outcome with concrete metrics (ideally you specified these before acting) 5. Iterating directionally towards making your committed choice better - increase probability of improving the next outcome with what you learned The aim is to get better at discerning reversible vs irreversible decisions (and act with the right speed accordingly), and growing comfortable with the idea that many new possibilities will come out of the intersection of decisions that you make over time. In other words, most choices are not forever, and what we expect to happen is usually only a fraction of what could, given enough time and continued action forward. ------ * How have you navigated ambiguous situations? * Repost if this message resonates with you * Follow me for more posts about startup leadership, founders, scaling, performance, and personal growth #entrepreneurship #decisionmaking #analysis

1 Year of being back to Consulting + Entrepreneur! I started Yoga Superfuel (my entrepreneurial baby) leaving the corporate world back in 2018! Fast forward today, where I get to wear two hats - Entrepreneurship + Consulting! And am I loving this? Yes. Is it challenging at times? Yes. But it’s new ideas, new experiences that I am always drawn to. It was my personal health transformation which ignited the passion for health & wellness. And now back at EY, I get to solve exciting client problems wearing my entrepreneurial hat. A conversation I often have with many of my clients, is how each of us has an entrepreneur within us. And the article below captures it really well. Just rekindling a little curiosity daily by each one of us will multiply and reap huge returns! Do you have any daily habits, tips which help you stay curious? For me - it's planting a new seed of an idea every week. Whether its having a deep conversation with an old friend / colleague or reading an inspiring article / book. #entrepreneurship #peopleandculture #ernstandyoung PS: I take no credit for this habit. Its inspired by my best friend Tanay Misra.

For Startups, Founders and Aspiring Ones. Read this line carefully. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, constantly worrying about what's next. The future isn't something to be passively endured - it's something we can actively shape. Anxiety is a placeholder for chaos. This is a critical mindset for leaders, entrepreneurs, and aspiring go-getters that they should clearly understand. Here's why: Anxiety clouds judgment. When you're consumed by worry, it's difficult to make clear decisions and take strategic action. Focus on the present. Opportunities are missed when we're dwelling on what might happen. Channel your energy into creating the future you desire, one step at a time. Action breeds confidence. The more proactive you are in shaping your future, the more confident you become in your ability to navigate challenges. So, how can you cultivate a "no anxiety for the future" mindset? - Embrace a growth mindset: Believe in your ability to learn, adapt, and overcome obstacles. - Set clear goals: Having a roadmap for the future reduces uncertainty and anxiety. - Focus on what you can control: Don't waste energy on things outside your influence. - Celebrate progress: Acknowledge your achievements, big and small, to stay motivated. Remember, the future belongs to those who create it. Be the architect of your own destiny. Godspeed. #growthmindset #leadership #futureproof #leadershipdevelopment #startuplife #entrepreneurs #mentalhealth

Building a startup is mental. 🤯 In a good way though. 😅 One day you are three friends goofing around at 2 am the next you are a team of 41 with expectations to double the team size again in 30 days! We were in disbelief looking at our updated org chart today. 41 FTE’s! 😬 Tbh it’s scary. Being responsible for the livelihood, mental and intellectual stimulation and fulfillment of 41 people is daunting. But if you flip the narrative from “paying paychecks” to “nurturing people”, the journey becomes motivating and rewarding. It’s beautiful to see people grow. 🥹 We’ve seen Aameen Goyal grow from a cocky I know it all kid to a humble and grounded leader We’ve seen Sidharth Uniyal grow from being a stubborn kid to being a stubborn yet effective executioner Imagine getting to see this 40x 80x 200x? It’s a mental journey. But trust us there isn’t a better one. — #entrepreneurship #growth #people #culture #granimals

Focus! 🎯😖💨 When asked what makes them so successful, both Warren Buffett and Bill Gates said one word, the same word: 𝙛𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨. 🎯 If you try to do too many things at once, you cannot devote the necessary thinking, resources and effort for any of them to be done properly. At a time when funding tight and runway is running out, few startups can afford to waste effort or resources. There are many ways to help us focus better, but here are a few ideas: ✔️ 𝘿𝙚-𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 your mind - that starts at the very top. If you management is in a mess, the rest of the company won't be any better. ✔️ Focus on the 4 Ps - Perform, Process, Present and Productivity. First, create an environment for optimal 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚. 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 involves focusing entirely on what you need to do to complete a high-quality product. 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 means focusing on the here and now rather than on what has happened in the past or what might happen in the future. 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 involves focusing only on those things that will enable you to be the most productive you can be and blocking out distractions. What say you, fellow entrepreneurs and acolytes of Truth?
