The University of Sheffield’s Post

We were delighted to welcome key officials from Department for Education to tour facilities at AMRC Training Centre earlier this week to learn more about the #apprenticeships on offer at the University of Sheffield. Karen Riley, deputy director of #SkillsFundingAgency, said: “It's been great to visit the University of Sheffield and see the apprentices in action and look at the work being done to help both them and their employers make the most out of this programme..." Discussions were had around how apprenticeship programmes are developed and the requirements needed to kick-start employer-led relationships. There was also the opportunity to have an inside look at our apprenticeship programmes in practice and speak to some of the apprentices about their own experiences. #Apprenticeships | #Manufacturing | #Health
