We're shining the #EmployeeSpotlight on Cortney Bennett this week! Cortney is our DOT Compliance Administrator on the Safety team, enjoys working in the compliance field and making a difference on the roads. Her favorite memory with USS is flying (for the first time!) to Colorado to meet with the entire Safety team. Cortney not only loves mafia movies but she also wanted to be the next Spike Lee or Quentin Tarantino as a screen writer/director! When not making the roads a safer place, Cortney likes to read, search record stores for vinyl albums with odd cover art, bowl and spend mommy and daughter time with my kid! Thank you Cortney for all you to do make USS great! #WeAreUSS

Texas is Texas! And the Cowboy with his code of honor, love for freedom, and fierce individualism represents the seed of Texas culture. No problem with that, but let's get the lineage correct. In addition to cowboy tools, skills of riding a horse, and methods of cattle ranching, the cowboy lifestyle, language, and fierce preference for honesty originated way before the American cowboy appeared. The cowboy culture is special and represents much of what most Americans respect and expect, so, let's give credit where credit is due and live as cowboys do.
