UN Environment Programme’s Post

Nature isn't just a part of life; it sustains it. Yet, human activity is driving biodiversity loss at unprecedented rates, with 1 million out of an estimated 8 million species on the verge of extinction. On the 2nd anniversary of the adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework, discover how this landmark agreement to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030 directly links to the achievement of the #GlobalGoals. Check out UNEP's new tool: https://lnkd.in/dGNvciFP

If only one country's or one person's success did not require the destruction of everyone's nature. Imagine a world where the law says "man-made money can buy every man-made thing but no nature-made things such as Earth, soil, water, air, food, etc." we'd still have an economy, we'd still be able to make things, sell things, market things. We'd still be able to celebrate our achievers, our heroes, but without regretting their destruction and theft of our common inheritance, Nature. Living would require everyone to have a direct relationship with earth, but for the things non-essential to living, we'd need banks, and courts and governments, just that they wouldn't have as much power over us as to be able to control our lives through the idea of "cost of living". It is because of the indirectness of our relationship with earth that so much damage/loss to our common inheritance of Nature gets hidden until its too late.

Biodiversity is the foundation of resilience and sustainability. On the 2nd anniversary of the Global Biodiversity Framework, let’s prioritize urgent action to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030. As a disaster management and food security expert, I advocate for integrating biodiversity conservation into resilience strategies to secure a sustainable future. #Biodiversity #Resilience #Sustainability #GlobalGoals

Timeshares are all-inclusive; they are valeted ownership, belonging, it strive for survival as the power of money; where the power of common interest leads; time they are wired to shares and to be cared for as 🌻become.
