We all take our work seriously. And we should – what we are doing can have an incredibly positive impact on the world around us – and we need to focus on doing what we do right. But sometimes we all could use a break – a moment to not take life so seriously. With that in mind, a not-so-serious post with a couple of my favorite science-related games, activities, and videos. Most recently, the Life Science-opoly board game – the creative idea of a colleague of mine. In Life Science-opoly you can run gene expression automation, hire a lab technician and even apply and receive innovation funding: https://lnkd.in/g85xDhkf Another is the Thermo Fisher Scientific building block benchtop set where you can build your own lab, complete with pipettes and a microscope. And last, one from the archives, is the "Rap Battle in the Lab" video where two TaqMan and SYBR scientists battle it out on which technique is best. https://lnkd.in/gGWvw6hJ Perhaps others have favorites I’ve missed? #ScienceisFun #ThermoFisherScientific #lifescience #SanDiego

🔬 Separation Technology Community: The Heart of Analytical Science 🔬 In the scientific instrumentation world, there's one common thread that connects all the technologies we work with—separation. 💡 Whether it's LC, GC, MS, microarray, PCR, QPCR, NGS, or oil analyzers (Diesel, Gasoline, Jet Fuel), separation technology is the backbone of the analytical science that drives our industries forward. 🔍 From my experience as a chemist, engineer, account manager, sales director, and regional office head, handling a diverse range of technologies, I’ve come to realize that it all comes down to one thing: separation. 🌟 Why does this matter? 🤔 Separation technology is what enables us to break down complexity, to understand the world at a molecular level, and to bring clarity to the most challenging analytical problems. It’s the process that makes everything possible—whether we're talking about the isolation of DNA in next-gen sequencing 🧬 or separating chemical mixtures in GC-MS. 🧪 What does this mean for you? 🧑🔬👩🔬 If you're working in the lab, running tests, pushing forward with biotech innovations, or even managing lab operations, you’re part of this Separation Technology Community! 🌐 We’re all connected by this shared foundation, and now, I’m building a space for us to come together, share ideas, and grow. 👉 Join the LinkedIn Separation Technology Community! 👈and invitation will be sent soon. This page is for everyone: from researchers to engineers, from biotech leaders to sales professionals—if you touch separation technology in any way, this space is for you! 🤝 Let’s share insights, talk about challenges, and celebrate breakthroughs together! 🚀 I encourage you to join, share your thoughts, ask questions, and let’s build a global network that thrives on the art and science of separation. Stay tuned!!! I am building the page for the community and will send and publish the invitation soon. Thank you. Please feel free to comment and connect with Gordon Tai 戴国栋, MBA I am a member of the #LBFalumni & #SkyHighTower #SeparationTechnology #LabScience #Innovation #LifeScience #NextGenScience #Chromatography #MassSpectrometry #PCR #GCMS #LC ✨ Let's build something great together! ✨

Where are all the protein production core facilities? There are plenty of sequencing, proteomics, and imaging core facilities, but protein production core facilities are few and far between. That's a pity because these facilities contain equipment and staff that help to train the next generation of protein scientists. Shout-out to the protein cores at the The National Institutes of Health, Stowers Institute for Medical Research, and VIB and keep doing what you're doing #P4EU and Centre for Structural Systems Biology CSSB! Let's all meet at this year's Assn of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) conference? Oh and that's the cleanest protein lab I've ever seen, CSSB! #proteincores #corefacilities #proteinproduction
Join CSSB! Our Protein Production and Sample Preparation and Characterization core facilities are looking for a technical assistant to develop cross -facility workflows.
