Google AdWords Campaign has Died (Managed IT Services) I have a localized campaign that was doing well, 4 states, getting 10-20 conversions a month on average for 4 months. Then it all died. My questions is, is it common for a campaign to just up and die with no changes. Google it taking my spend but there are absolutely no conversions coming my way. PPC and SEO are two sides of the same coin when it comes to Amazon success, but how you balance them can make or break your rankings. Here’s what most sellers overlook: PPC is your short-term power play, driving immediate visibility and clicks. But SEO is the long game, ensuring your product stays relevant and competitive in search results. The key is understanding how they influence each other. For instance, PPC campaigns can drive conversion data that strengthens SEO performance over time, but abrupt SEO changes without alignment can cause temporary rank fluctuations. 👉 Use PPC data to identify high-performing keywords and incorporate them strategically into titles and bullet points. 👉 Avoid overhauling SEO too quickly—Amazon’s algorithm needs time to adapt to changes without destabilizing rankings. 👉 Maintain consistent PPC spend during optimization phases to minimize disruptions in traffic and sales. I find it crazy to think that some businesses will spend 10's, or even hundreds of thousands per month on PPC and then allocate £2-3,000 for SEO. However, when you sit and think about it, this makes logical sense for most marketing managers or business owners. Why? With PPC for every £1 you put into the machine, you usually know what's coming out of the other side. If you don't meet the expected ROAS figure, the client will usually move on to another agency. With SEO, you will usually get a response of "We can't make guarantees", "We can't predict the algorithm" or an even more generic, "It depends". As an industry, this is where we need to be better. But what I'm not saying is that SEO should be measured in the same way as PPC. SEO needs to be sold and seen as more of an investment. The more you invest, the better your returns. Whilst PPC is great for targeting people searching for very specific terms that are ready to buy, SEO is the channel that puts you in front of more people over time. With SEO, you want to be in the mix of brands consistently when people are unsure of the solution, researching the best product, and ready to buy. I will put my hat on the fact that doing all of the above will result in business profits increasing. The issue isn't that businesses don't want to invest in SEO, it's usually that they're not sold on the channel due to not understanding the process. The result... Businesses sign a 6 to 12-month contract with an agency that will improve things, but not enough. They will then move on to another agency and repeat that cycle until the compounding work clicks and the channel is delivering the expected result years before. To bypass this outcome, we need to sell the benefits and the journey of SEO better, work with businesses that understand the process, and that the compounding effect will allow them to be less reliant on giving half of their revenue to Google and Meta every month.
