Takeaway #2: Effective communication isn't just about expressing yourself clearly—it's also about taking responsibility for how your message is received. They both believe strongly in taking responsibility for their actions and communication. Something I found fascinating was how they spent time reflecting on how their words and tone might have contributed to misunderstandings. This mindset of self-accountability allows for continuous growth and reduces the chances of recurring conflicts.

Want to test your communication skills? Catch Bronchitis. I’m sure there’s better ways to test your skills, but here’s what I’ve learned recently: ⬇️Less is more: when talking = coughing you practice the skill of concision. 👂Actually listen: when you’re forced into silence, listening takes a front seat. 💥Choose wisely: when you talk less, you can focus on impactful word choice. 💜It’s a privelage: verbal communication is a privelage, one I’ve taken for granted. As my voice comes back, I’m going to try and hold tightly to these lessons. What communication lessons do you need to (re)learn? #silverlinings #powerofpositivity #lifelessons #alwaysgrowing #communication

Effective communication involves two key elements: being clear and kind. 💬❤️ Being direct means stating your message plainly and without unnecessary detail, which ensures that your point is understood. 🎯 Kind delivery means expressing your message with consideration and respect for the listener’s feelings. 🤗 Adam Grant’s quote emphasizes the balance of these elements as essential for successful communication. ⚖️ Combining these aspects helps avoid misunderstandings and fosters a positive exchange. 🤝 This approach not only conveys the intended message accurately but also maintains and enhances relationships. 💬💕 By being both clear and compassionate, you ensure that your communication is both effective and empathetic, leading to better collaboration and understanding in personal and professional interactions. 🌟🤝 #communication #professionalinteraction #enhancerelationships

#communication #selfreflection #excellence Miscommunication. The failure to communicate adequately or clearly. Today I want to consider it a misalignment of what was said and what was heard. Add in some emotion and thoughts of intent and the miscommunication can escalate. We can ask, "What did you mean when you said...?" or try, "I felt...when you said" to help the communication get back on track.
