It wouldn’t be November without fireworks so I thought I’d share some new research that highlights cinema in all its sparkling, loud, emotive and attentive glory. The new study released last week by Ebiquity plc delves into the correlation between the attention a media channel achieves and the profit it delivers for brands. Conducted in partnership with Lumen Research, the eye-tracking technology company, the stats found a near-perfect correlation between attention and profit. Not surprisingly to us cinema was found to be ‘the near-perfect environment for attention’ with the medium sitting in first place. As you know I love a stat and the report shows that cinema ‘’delivers an average of 21,610 attentive seconds for every 1,000 impressions and, on average, produces £102 of incremental profit."
