The other day... I go out to run some errands and to get a haircut. It's not particularly sunny, but rather grayish. Despite that, here is what happens: In the queue at the supermarket: the man behind me gives me space, smiles and is very attentive In the drugstore: People make space and are very friendly. At the hairdresser's: The barber greets me with a big smile and is immediately there for me. Where ever I go I am received with friendliness, respect, and...space It feels so good. It feels like being in love. Being in Love with life -and the people around me. Here comes the secret: It's not just luck or a random phenomenon. I am in a good mood, I am centered and I have space inside. That gives space around me and radiates to the people around me. It feels like that because I took care of my inner energy and my body. Would you like to feel like that, too? Here comes the secret: You can't control the people or the surrounding circumstances. What you can take care of is how you feel inside and how you show up with other people! You are responsible for your own happiness. How do to take care of your inner energy ? Good morning and a very happy Thursday everyone!! Celebrate every achievement you achieve when you are on your “journey” No matter how big or small “Non-scale victories represent the achievements and progress made in one's health and wellness journey that extend beyond numerical-based measurements like weight, BMI, or body size. These victories encompass a diverse range of positive changes and improvements in physical, mental, and emotional well-being” Take me for example, I am celebrating two victories this week. 1. Slipping into a pair of “tight” jeans which now fall down and now need my belt which I haven’t worn in years and that belt is too big and needs new holes punched 👍 2. Slipped in to a very fitted size 8 Gilet yesterday on top of a chunky jumper and it fitted perfectly. Recently it was too tight and a tshirt underneath was a little restricted I am delighted in the changes!! Really gives you a boost!! 💕 So how about you? Are you hitting some non scale victories??? Ya'll don't get me started on the scale. Here is why: This gal is down just about 15 lbs but she is also down 4 SIZES. Which do you think matters more to her? Kind of a trick question. They both do. Part of that is conditioning. Many of us have a number we want to get to because it means something to us. It was the last time we wore our favorite dress or pants OR it was before we had the baby or it was when we were getting married and we felt so good in our skin. I care a lot more about how someone feels in her body and in her clothes than I do the scale. But I understand the above. That's why when I have clients come to work with me we track the following metrics: -clothes -side by side photos -measurements -AND lbs -we also track body fat shed too (but many of my gals either get an Inbody scan or have a scale that gives an estimation of body water, muscle mass, body fat etc.) If you are just relying on the scale, chances are good you'll be more irritated than you are pumped so please for the love of your beautiful body do the other metrics. We don’t ask for NEAR enough. When I got to the gym today, I realized I’d forgotten my scrunchie. Ladies, you know what a party foul this is. Going to the gym without a way to put your hair up? Unthinkable! My plan was to look around on the floor or in the lost and found to see if I could find a hair tie that some teenager left behind. That was my plan: to search the floor for a used ponytail holder! As I walked through 💯degree heat inside, I absentmindedly said a quick prayer, “God, I’d really like to find some kind of a hair thing in there.” My suggested solution was truly that God could point me to a corner, where a leftover black scrunchie would waiting on me. Instead, I walk in and ask the fitness desk if they happen to have a hair tie or a rubber band I could make work. The kiddo working went and pulled out an entire pouch of so many glorious, perfect, pristine, black, soft hair ties for me to choose from! I kid you not. I laughed out loud. And it hit me - I was willing to settle (and be so grateful) for scraps. God (the Realm as I say these days) provided me a bounty. How often do we do this in the big things? Obviously, who cares about a silly hair thing. Except for what it meant to me. I heard the message loud and clear. Do you? 🕊️We create our own limits. 🕊️We have less because we expect less. 🕊️We experience less because we ask for less. 🕊️We find what we seek. 🕊️If what we are seeking is leftover table scraps, that is what we will find.
