🚨 HR Update: What’s Happening on January 1, 2025? While the Department of Labor (DOL) proposed an increase to the exempt employee salary minimum—up to $1,128 per week ($58,656 annually)—set to take effect on January 1, 2025, this rule has been vacated due to legal challenges. The court found that the DOL's focus on salary thresholds rather than job duties exceeded its authority. Currently, the minimum salary for exempt employees remains at $684 per week ($35,568 annually). However, this decision is subject to appeal, so employers should stay vigilant as changes could still occur. 🔑 Action Steps for Businesses: Monitor updates from the DOL and legal developments. Prepare contingency plans in case thresholds change. Ensure compliance with existing FLSA exempt employee criteria. 💡 Stay informed and ready for potential updates—plan ahead to protect your business! #HiveOfHERA #HRUpdate #LaborLaws #ExemptEmployees #FLSACompliance #SmallBusinessTips #HumanResources #HRStrategy #PayrollCompliance #WorkplacePolicies #HRSupport #EmployeeRights #DOLUpdate #LegalCompliance #MinimumSalary #EmployeeClassification #HRBestPractices #WorkforceManagement #BusinessGrowth #EmploymentLaw #HRConsulting #LaborStandards #TeamLeadership #HRCompliance #HRManagement #BusinessOwners #WorkplaceUpdates
