I love the counterintuitivity of this idea. Laws bring restriction and then bring freedom. Fully unrestrained means unmanaged, often unhinged and always without vision or true identity. Vision restrains. Identity restrains. They do not keep us FROM anything but they move us INTO something. They do not keep us OUT of certain things but keep us IN the most important things. Delighting ourselves in AND following His ways are the surest path to freedom, fulfillment and happiness. Read more about this in my latest article on LHerron.substack.com

I want to draw my contacts' attention to this really important and eye-opening article by Nick Marsh and his colleagues at the Metropolitan Police, reviewing the operational effectiveness of light source searching of crime scenes vs. subsequent application of chemical and physical processes for fingermark visualisation. The proportion of marks found by light sources alone and not subsequently visualised by other methods should make any forensic unit only doing cursory searches with light sources take this aspect more seriously - you could be missing vital evidence! https://lnkd.in/eFdxkGyN

Intellectual security is the fence that protects society and achieves the interests of individuals and groups in it, so that society becomes secure in its value system, principles, belief, money and honor, and its members enjoy their minds and are able to express their responsible opinions. Hence, the value of intellectual security lies in the cohesion of the members of society. With their different sects, there is no difference between one person and another; Everyone works in a spirit of friendship and cooperation, and they feel psychologically comfortable, confident, and able to participate strongly, honestly, and effectively

This is interesting - 6,000 patents are kept secret by the US government. So secret that the inventors are threatened with prison if they touch them. How can that be? National Security. But how can we know if there is any national security threat? Maybe it is just a threat to big oil or big pharma or any other industry? There are a lot of stories about extremely efficient engines and the inventors have died under suspicious circumstances. Maybe by coincidence, but the US is obviously run on industry money. There have and always will be conflicts of interest in that relationship. https://lnkd.in/gzr7jNez
