The developed AI-based measurement tool (AIM-MASH™) demonstrated reproducibility and alignment with expert pathologists, and has the potential to reduce inter-rater variability in MASH clinical trials. AIM-MASH additionally produces continuous scores for each of the MASH CRN (#ClinicalResearchNetwork) components to enable granular measurement of histologic changes. A new succes story of an application of AI in drug discovery: New Paper Describes a Novel Antifibrotic Target Discovered Using AI and Aging Research and New Molecule Designed Using Generative AI in Animal Models and Early Human Clinical Trials https://lnkd.in/dFCCSfCE There are several reasons why this paper is important: - Insilico Medicine utilized AI to discover and prioritize a new anti-fibrotic target - TNIK. - In a separate paper, the Alex group performed the "hallmarks of aging assessment" of TNIK - it scored high in several hallmarks. - Insilico Medicine used their generative AI for chemistry, Chemistry42, to design a novel molecule with the desired properties aiming to maximize safety and efficacy. - The research team conducted a large number of in vitro and in vivo experiments, nominating three preclinical candidates for lung and kidney fibrosis. - A clinical safety trial in humans was conducted. - Insilico Medicine also made it easy to get questions about this paper (and other related papers by Insilico) answered.
