Are peers an overlooked resource? In our study Harvard University, we found that students and researchers were able to provide effective listening to their peers in fields ranging from Business and Law to Education, Medicine and Design. Participants learned to develop their natural ability to listen attentively, and provided support to their peers that was assessed as highly valuable--including greater clarity, coping with challenges, and developing interpersonal skills. Looking for something interesting to do in the New Year? Why not sign-up for our webinar on community-led social prescribing with National Academy for Social Prescribing and Local Trust on 21st January? We'll be sharing research findings about the barriers and enablers to greater community involvement in and leadership social prescribing and hopefully provoking some debate and discussion about what policy makers could do to help re-centre social prescribing systems around communities and their assets.

Three key policy takeaways 💡👇 1. A different approach to policymaking is urgently required to address the chronic problems, complex crises and emerging challenges facing the UK. 2. Positive Public Policy (PoPP) encourages learning from success to inform strategic, systemic and participatory approaches to government. 3.
