Who said Robot Transfer Units (RTU's) are just for horizontal motion? Kaufman RTUs aren’t limited to the flat plane – they’re breaking free and going vertical! It's time to challenge the status quo in automation and rethink how you leverage robotic transfer units. Imagine the possibilities when your system moves beyond one axis. 🌟 Today, we are sharing the second part of last week's video on our vision system, focusing on template matching 📷🤖 Template matching is an image processing technique used to find parts of an image that match a reference template by comparing how well the template fits at different positions in the image. It is natively integrated into our software to provide a straightforward object detection strategy, allowing you to easily adapt your industrial tasks to new parts. 🔎 For more information, watch the video below. #templateMatching #objectDetection #vision #visionSystem #robotics #automation

#RAPID Tip: Skip Code on Virtual Controller 🤖 Moving Real Controller backup to Virtual System could be tiring. Especially when it comes to Signals status. We want Robot to check Signals in real world. So we know everything works fine. But hate when Simulation stops because robot waits for them. There's a quick fix for that: RobOS() RobOS() is function which checks if program runs on Real or Virtual Controller. By using it You can let robot do code only when Controller is real. And skip it when it's virtual. Just like this: IF RobOS() THEN WaitDI diPLCStartSignal,1; ENDIF See how it works on video 🔽 ** Want to learn How to Program ABB Robots? 🤯 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗱-𝗼𝗳-𝗔𝗿𝗺 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴❗ Ever seen such an impressive end-of-arm tool? Quite cool but this 7-axis setup might seem overengineered, and here's why. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝: 🔹 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤: The primary task involves lifting and moving horizontally—a 2 DoF problem. 🔹 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: A 6-axis robot with an added 7th axis introduces more complexity than necessary. 🔹 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: A 4-axis palletizing robot could handle the task efficiently. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝: ✅ 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡: Enhances the robot's coverage. ✅ 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Leverages the adaptability and programmability of off-the-shelf robots. ✅ 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: Often more affordable and quicker to deploy than custom-built solutions. So, is this impressive setup overengineering, or simply great engineering? The balance between flexibility, cost efficiency, and the specific needs of the task makes this a compelling question. ❗𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 👉 Robert 지영 Liebhart 지영 Liebhart and 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹 🔔 to stay updated with my latest posts about #robotics, #automation, and #innovation! #EndOfArmTooling #Engineering #Robotics #FlexibleAutomation #Technology #Automation #Manufacturing #Efficiency Credits: Lukas M.
