Struggling to land a job? The answer might lie in your marketability. If you're not getting interviews, it's time to scrutinize your resume and overall presentation. Common pitfalls include incorrect formatting, outdated information, and missing relevant keywords. Your resume must be tailored to each application, highlighting the skills most pertinent to the job at hand. It's easy to blame the job market or economy, but often the real issue is how we present ourselves. To improve your chances, revamp your resume, update your skills, and seek feedback from mentors or career coaches. When you receive the correct feedback or they recommend that you do something, don't take it as nice-to-have advice. Take it as necessary instructions, because they've seen every scenario in unemployment there is to see. While some industries do face hiring lags, accountability is key. Focus on what you can control and refine your approach. The right opportunity is out there, but you need to ensure you're ready to seize it. Not Getting Callbacks or Interviews after sending your resumes? These are the mistakes you might be making: 1/ You’re sending generic resumes. An average recruiter receives 150+ applications every single day. And they’ll instantly skip to the next one if they don’t see a match between your skillsets & the JD. ➡️ Tailor your CV as per the JD (at least the skillsets) 2/Your resume isn’t ATS-friendly. This means your resume did not even reach the human eye. ATS—a computer program that scans applications, tracks applicants, and generally helps recruiters and hiring managers manage the search on their side. ➡️ Add relevant keywords, use standard headings such as, ‘Experience’, and ‘Education’, or get it crafted by a Resume writer. 3/ You’re applying to the wrong jobs. Assess your skillsets & whether or not you are applying for the same. If you don’t like the field in which you’re working, you’ll probably hate it in the future. ➡️ Figure out what skills you’re passionate about & start applying for them. 4/ You’re very picky. While being picky is a good sign, increase the frequency of your applications. If you apply to 100, you’ll only hear back from 5-10. ➡️ Don’t be discouraged & keep applying strategically. 5/ People don’t know about you/your job needs. Talk to people in your circle that you’re actively looking for a job. Your Personal Brand will help you network well. ➡️Build your Personal Brand on/off LinkedIn to network. And that’s it. Working on these tips has helped my clients see a 57% increase in hearing back. P.S. What other techniques do you suggest to start getting callbacks? 🌟 5 Reasons Why You’re Not Getting a Call Back After Applying for a Job 🌟 Struggling to land interviews? You might be making one of these common mistakes: 1. Generic Resumes: Using the same resume for every application? Tailor it to highlight relevant skills and experiences. Personalization shows you’re genuinely interested! 2. I am delighted to learn that another of my resume clients landed a dream job. It is such an honor for me to help people put their best foot forward in their career communications. It starts with self-awareness. I craft a detailed resume questionnaire about the influence and impact my client has had. The questionnaire spurs deep introspection about a person's history and how it informs their trajectory. The resumes I write for clients answer the question, "So what?" These answers are opening doors to career advancement. I am so proud and happy to be doing this work. If your resume does not answer the "so what?" question, let's talk!

Feeling stuck in your job search? You're not alone. Many talented professionals miss out on incredible opportunities because their resumes don't fully showcase their true potential. 📝 Here are some pointers your resume might be lacking, which could be why you're not landing interviews: 1️⃣ Highlight Your Achievements: Employers want to see results. Instead of listing job duties, focus on what you’ve accomplished. Use metrics and specific examples to demonstrate your impact. 2️⃣ Use Strong, Action-Oriented Language: Power words like “led,” “developed,” “increased,” and “streamlined” can make a significant difference. They effectively highlight your skills and achievements. 3️⃣ Tailor It to the Job: One size does not fit all. Customize your resume for each job application. Highlight the skills and experiences that align with the job description. 4️⃣ Showcase Your Unique Value Proposition: What sets you apart from other candidates? Identify your unique strengths and make sure they stand out on your resume. 5️⃣ Keep It Simple and Professional: A cluttered resume can be off-putting. Use a clean, easy-to-read format, and avoid unnecessary technical language or overly complex designs. 6️⃣ Include Relevant Keywords: Many companies use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to screen resumes. Make sure you include keywords from the job posting to pass this initial screening. Don’t let your resume be the reason you miss out on your next big opportunity. #Bold #Career #CareerAdvice #Resume #ResumeTips #JobSearch #JobSearchAdvice #IndustryInsighs
