Why do we need to put defensive projection devices in these situations, because the competence of the plant operators is seriously in question, why is that not being challenged, non of these example incidents are accidental.
It shouldn’t come as any surprise that a forklift is a dangerous piece of machinery. There are some pretty grim accident statistics to back up that notion. In reality, forklifts account for only 1% of all warehouse or factory accidents. But the accidents tend to be more serious than others, accounting for 11% of all physical injuries in those workplaces. While training and inspections will hopefully prevent many forklift accidents, every facility needs to protect its people and its assets through strategic placement of impact barriers, purpose-built for the location’s risk factors. Glancing blows only require strong, cost-efficient products — like our Pedestrian Barrier. Full speed 90-degree impacts require best-in-class strength and safety deployment you can rely on our Guardrail. Our full suite of safety solutions focuses on stopping power, energy absorption, and impact deflection and can be viewed here. ⏬ https://bit.ly/49EKj9j (download catalog) 📩 [email protected] #safetyculture #safetyandhealth #forkliftsafety

Top 3 Most Common Forklift Accidents & How to Prevent Them Forklift accidents are among the leading causes of workplace injuries, often due to preventable issues. Here’s a quick breakdown of the top three most common forklift incidents and tips for avoiding them: Forklift Tip-Overs Caused by uneven loads or sharp turns, tip-overs can be deadly. Prevent them by maintaining balanced loads, avoiding excessive speed, and ensuring operators are properly trained on weight distribution. Falling Loads When loads aren’t secured, they can easily fall, risking injury. Ensure that loads are carefully stacked, balanced, and secured. Regular load-check protocols can help prevent these accidents. Pedestrian Collisions Lack of visibility or crowded workspaces can lead to forklift-pedestrian accidents. Set up designated walkways, use warning signals, and enforce strict pedestrian-safety protocols. Remember, safety is everyone’s responsibility! Preventing accidents takes training, vigilance, and the right safety measures. #ForkliftSafety #WorkplaceSafety #WarehouseSafety #ForkliftAccidents #SafetyFirst #OccupationalHealth #EmployeeWellbeing #SafetyTraining
