Recently we had a Q&A session with Anna T., our 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁 who is reshaping customers’ understanding about nutrition🍎✨ 𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁? I am passionate about the impact of food on people's well-being, both physically and mentally. With degrees in Human Nutrition and Food Science and Technology, I understood the role of food and processing techniques towards health, which led me to work as a nutritionist in diverse fields. 𝗤: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀? I provide guidance, educational content, and training with the goal of raising awareness and guiding customers towards balanced consumption. 𝗤: 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲? The main challenge is to meet customers’ expectations in terms of taste, functionality, and performance while keeping an adequate nutritional profile in our range of products. Eating out is often linked to treats and special gatherings, so incorporating healthier options that are also appealing to consumers may be a hurdle. Not everyone is aware of the importance of nutrition and its impact on health! Through close collaboration, education and maintaining the nutritional value of our products, we can provide solutions that meet customers’ and consumers’ needs. 𝗤: 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? Be open and curious, as this field is constantly evolving and stay updated on health trends, nutritional guidelines, and upcoming challenges. Understanding Culinary Medicine vs. Food as Medicine Both culinary medicine and food as medicine highlight the role of food in health, but they approach it differently: - Culinary Medicine: Combines cooking with medical science to create nutritious, enjoyable meals. It focuses on recipe design, blending health benefits with great taste, often involving chefs and nutrition experts. - Food as Medicine: Emphasises using specific foods for health promotion and disease prevention. It’s about the overall impact of dietary choices and nutritional science, with a focus on educating people about health-boosting foods. In essence, culinary medicine is about making healthy food taste great, while food as medicine is about using food to improve health and prevent illness. . . . #functionalnutritionist #culinarymedicine #foodformedicine #nutritionspecialist #functionalhealth #culinarynutrition #nutritionexpert #takecontrolofyourhealth #makenealthychoices #healthcomesfirst #dietitianlife #dietítians #dietitianeats #diseaseprevention #eathealthybehealthy #foodheals #preventativehealth #nutritionadvice #integrativenutrition #dletitianapproved #optimalhealth #ifestylemedicine #nutritionmatters #integrativemedicine #healthmatters #foodasmedicine #functionalmedicine #foodismedicine

After watching the documentary The Magic Pill here’s what I took away: Unprocessed food is both nutrient dense & medicinal Go back to eating anti inflammatory saturated fats such as Beef Talo, butter, ghee & coconut oil Processed foods have a huge negative impact on behaviour & cause health issues in both children & adults Switching out highly processed foods to foods that occur naturally can quickly eradicate many health issues. The participants in the documentary actually came off serious medication as a result, saving them thousands of pounds a year and giving them their freedom back to live life to their fullest potential. One of the participants in the program gained more than a decade of life after switching to non man-made food sources and moving away from brands Many foods in the supermarkets today are ultra processed and are made to look attractive and appealing through cleaver marketing. The program highlighted some labelling that was misleading such as ‘low fat’ in large font. Low fat doesn’t necessarily mean healthy and in fact usually means high sugar. This documentary is a testimony to following a natural and nutritionally balanced diet. Have you watched it?
