Trialog’s Post

On Sept. 18th, Trialog was invited to share its vision for intra-domain and inter-domain interoperability during the workshop on the Interoperability of Energy Smart Appliances organized by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. Interoperability is a growing challenge within the energy sector and also with other closely related sectors: electromobility, smart cities, smart building, smart home, … At Trialog, we believe that semantic interoperability, including the use of reference information models and ontologies, is a major answer to tackle this challenge. Antonio Kung from Trialog first introduced the evolution of interoperability standards and then presented Trialog's work, in connection to int:net project, on an "Ontology-Driven Constraint Tester", enabling to check compliance of data exchanges to ontology profiles (such as described in the CoC). This presentation included a demonstration of the tool by Olivier Genest and was followed by a discussion with the stakeholders on the potential benefits of this tool for the ecosystem. Feel free to contact us to know more!
