what is Erasmus+ ? The Erasmus Programme (Erasmus+) is a European Union initiative that supports education, training, youth, and sport by facilitating international study, training, and work experiences for students and staff across participating countries. Launched in 1987, it aims to enhance skills, employability, and cultural understanding. The program also promotes cooperation between institutions to improve educational quality. Benefits: The Erasmus+ Programme offers students and staff opportunities for international study, work placements, training, and volunteering, enhancing skills, language proficiency, and employability. It fosters personal growth, cultural exchange, and a broader global perspective. The program also supports institutional collaboration, innovation, and sharing of best practices across education sectors. Participants often gain a competitive edge in the job market due to their international experience and networks. We joined this program from 27-08-2024 to 04-09-2024. we really enjoyed this and done a lot of activities to make our communication better. 40 people joined this project from Greece, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Portugal and Turkey. we done a lot of activities to make communication better, teamwork, team building, and many more. Feeling (a bit) stressed before Erasmus is completely normal. From navigating accommodation arrangements and university requirements to managing the grant, the logistical aspects can be overwhelming. For most students, it’s their first time being away from friends and family in an unknown context, and adjusting to a new language and culture can also add to the stress. A good tip from fellow students: becoming a buddy for other Erasmus+ students can be a great way to prepare yourself for this adventure and build confidence. Even before Erasmus, students or recent graduates are already acquiring skills such as coping with stress, and organisational and planning skills. Curious to hear how others have navigated their Erasmus+ experience? Watch this video where students share their personal stories and the challenges they faced before starting their Erasmus+ journey. 🌍✨ Advancing Internationalization and strategic partnership in Higher Education: Exist meeting with the Vice Rector of the International Office- the University of Jaen✨🌍 Today, I had an impactful meeting with the Vice Rector of the International Office and the Director of the International Office at the University of Jaen. These key strategic partners and gracious hosts facilitated a discussion on key issues such as cost-sharing and providing comprehensive support to international students. I am genuinely inspired by the Vice Rector, Prof. José Ignacio, whose commitment to transforming the status quo is truly admirable. His agreement to cost-sharing not only ensures equitable and sustainable partnerships but also embodies a broader dedication to inclusivity in higher education. Prof. Ignacio's initiatives to enhance services for international students are particularly commendable. By offering internship opportunities, he is fostering a richer, more immersive student experience that seamlessly blends academic learning with real-world employability. I admire his humility and dedication to knowledge exchange, perfectly encapsulated when he said, "It was a pleasure to have you here, learn from each other, and share thoughts and ideas." I am honored and privileged to champion this pilot program and I am especially thrilled to hear from two of our students currently thriving as interns at the University of Jaen. Their stories highlight the transformative power of such initiatives in shaping a global, inclusive future. #Forging stronger, more inclusive, and equitable international partnerships! 🌟📚🤝 #HigherEducation #Internationalization #StudyAbroad #StudentExperience #Employability #InclusiveEducation #GlobalPartnerships #Sustainability
