THE MUNICIPALITY OF DELFT HAS BECOME A PARTNER OF THE IADP!
We are excited to announce that the Municipality of Delft has joined the Innovation Area Development Partnership (IADP) as our newest partner. Delft has a rich history of innovation and technology, and we are eager to collaborate with them to develop the city's innovative ecosystems further.
Delft is a hub for innovation in many areas, including high-tech fields such as quantum technology, AI, and robotics, as well as advancements in the energy transition, healthcare, and biotech.
Key players in Delft's innovation landscape include TU Delft Campus, YES!Delft, Planet B.io, and Buccaneer Delft, as well as research institutions such as TNO and Deltares. They define Delft's DNA.
The interconnected areas of innovation in Delft, with their pivotal role in providing solutions to societal challenges, are now part of our shared mission.
Innovation District Delft aims to develop the TU Delft Campus and the adjacent industrial site of Schieoevers into a thriving hub for research, start-ups, scale-ups, and innovative manufacturing industry. It includes the leading incubator YES!Delft and several field labs like Green Village and RoboHouse. Developing these areas together will significantly enhance the area's quality, create cohesion between research and the innovative manufacturing industry, and provide jobs at all levels. This collaboration also ensures a better connection with the city and the region, promising a brighter future for all involved. The Province of South Holland, Business Association Schieoevers, the Metropolitan Region Rotterdam The Hague, TU Delft Campus, and the Municipality of Delft have joined this cooperation.
Part of this ecosystem is the Biotech Campus Delft, an innovation campus uniquely focused on biotechnology. It aims to boost the transition to a sustainable and bio-based economy, supporting the entire innovation cycle from research and pilot to production. Planet B.io, a unique scale-up ecosystem centrally located on the campus, is a key player in industrial biotechnology.
