**🇨🇳The Satellite Launch Race in China: Challenges and Triumphs of 2024🇨🇳** Failure is often the precursor to success. July 11, 2024, was a challenging day for the space sector. SpaceX's Falcon 9 failed to launch due to an engine glitch, and a Chinese private aerospace company faced a similar setback. Yet, in the face of these failures, the drive to explore and conquer space remains unwavering. China, in particular, has shown remarkable resilience. Despite these hiccups, the Long March 3 launched 8 satellites on September 24, the Kuaizhou-1A launched 4 satellites on September 20, and Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center sent 10 satellites into orbit on September 6. The momentum is undeniable. In 2023, China completed a record-breaking 67 orbital launches, and 2024 is projected to be even more ambitious. The country aims to carry out 100 launches this year alone, a sixfold increase compared to a decade ago. The commercial satellite launch industry in China may have started late, but it is catching up fast. Established only in 2014, it already sees a surge in private companies and significant investments. The National Development and Reform Commission's inclusion of satellite internet in the new infrastructure category in 2020 has provided much-needed impetus. Global satellite constellations are not just about national pride anymore—they represent massive commercial opportunities.
