This war has gone on for too long... Some do not accept the war has ended and the past election has been won. Are we determined to destroy the best example of self-government, a government of the people, and our experiment in democracy so we can hold on to versions of history that fit our personal beliefs? Our nation's Founders did not agree on all things, but when they signed the Declaration of Independence, they knew, if unsuccessful, they would hang...together. Their victory paved the way for us to come together as one living and vibrant nation. The Founder's vision for this country is bigger than any individual, more powerful than the greatest of armies, and strong enough to focus on a future where all can find their seat at the table of the American Dream. The preamble of the U.S. Constitution states: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Take stock in these words before you vote, when you vote, and after the results are read. They represent the best in us all.

One video I think all Australians (and people everywhere) should watch. This is a sign of the times, and the coupling of governmental and corporate powers to remove the original purpose of government (to serve the people) and to instead, turn it into a giant ponzi scheme, as Matt explains very well. I think its time people started to take notice, boomers.. think of your nation and kids, younger generations, lookup from your phone an shout at your local politicians and corps. If you want a fascinating look how we are, head over to the US Library of Congress, and read Chronicling America's newpapers from the 1920's. You will be astonished just how things were so similar in credit schemes, corps + gov corruption and more. As a little example, in 1925 the US gov had a 13 billion (yes, billion) USD debt. In todays money (inflation adjusted) that is in excess of 230 _trillion_ USD. Which gives a little insight into just how bad the boom and 1929 crash was. Do we really want to continue this madness and end up with the same, or worse, end results?

I didn't realize how much stress I was carrying, physically, over this election. Yesterday, after voting, I got in my car and a painful soreness settled in my shoulders and back—a reminder of the emotional weight these elections carry. Beyond the U.S. elections, I was closely following the elections in Puerto Rico, which have proven to be just as contentious and divided. Puerto Rico's status as a colony, or U.S. territory, raises important questions about our commitment to the very principles we claim to hold dear. So do our foreign policies. The principles of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," as well as "all people are created equal," are foundational to the United States. These ideals fueled the American Revolution of 1776. They are also the standards by which every law and policy should be measured. However, the United States has a long history of hypocrisy. To be "Great Again" we first have to embody greatness ourselves. This requires integrity—remembering and honoring the principles we claim to uphold, everywhere and with everyone. All people are created equal. ALL. ...and all "are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Let every decision we make, both in this country and around the globe, truly honor these principles. Only then can we achieve the greatness we aspire to. That would be great.
