So one of The thing is valuing humanity. And when you value humanity, I think being people centered. And also putting yourself in the shoes of other people. Like just sitting and imagining. If what I'm going to do to this person, if it was being done to me and for me by the way that has kept me moving, what will really happen? But also the issue of self-care. At the end of the day, as you support people taking off, time to do a reflection. How did my dad go in this action? Did I do the right thing? And holding yourself accountable, but also giving back to yourself by taking on a lot of Wellness for yourself.
🌾 EMPOWERING RESILIENCE: Supporting Women in Crisis-Affected Communities 🌾
During my recent interactions with inspiring women in rural areas affected by the farmer-herder crisis, I was reminded of the resilience and determination of the typical Nigerian woman. These women, despite facing significant challenges, embody diligence and unwavering commitment to their families and communities.
Through the intervention efforts of the NRC, we are not only providing support but fostering an environment where peace and stability allow these women to flourish. With the right resources and a supportive, peaceful setting, they can overcome obstacles and continue to uplift their communities.
It’s moments like these that underscore the importance of inclusive development and sustainable peacebuilding. Together, we are laying the foundation for lasting change in Plateau State and Adamawa State.

During these 16 days of activism, our community facilitators in the project "USAID Dufatanye Urumuri" are leveraging the trust built within the community to educate on the importance of rejecting gender-based violence, promoting complementarity in family relationships, and fostering a peaceful environment that promotes economic development in households.
