What are some key strategies that companies can implement to better prevent and respond to sexual harassment? Companies can implement several key strategies that focus on creating a safer and more respectful work environment. Here are some effective measures: Farah B. from FFA Security Group presented at The Security Event (RSE2024) on Sexual Harassment in the UK Security Industry. In the article link below she discusses the findings from her comprehensive study and outlines what companies need to do to address and prevent these issues effectively. One thing she recommends is: ' Comprehensive Training: Companies should provide regular and mandatory training for all employees, including management, on what constitutes sexual harassment, how to prevent it, and how to respond if they witness or experience it. These trainings should be interactive, engaging, and tailored to the specific context of the industry.' We have a mixed industry session on 6th November - book here https://lnkd.in/e6eabX28 Or contact me directly to chat about a specific session to your organisation which will include relevant case studies. #sexualharassment #newduty #sexualharassmentprevention #training #RSVP #securityindustry

The same is true here in #Canada and some studies show an increase in prevalence. I love your suggestions for how employers can better address this type of toxic behaviour in the workplace, which includes having clear anti-harassment policies that specify how incidents are to be reported and what behaviours are considered unacceptable and fostering a culture where respect for others is supported and toxic behaviours are not. #ShapeYourWorkplace #LegalAidOntario #NCLC #PCLC

A new study by Curtin University has found that one in five women in the West Australian mines was touched inappropriately while working. This is a very high number and the goal must always be 0.
