Core skills, life skills, soft skills - call them what you will, I think we all agree that these aptitudes are vital in your personal and professional life. However many organisations "teach" them to their employees -think PowerPoint and a load of handouts! These skills need to be experienced, they shouldn't be delivered in the same way you would educate staff about a new policy or product line. Our Digital Treasure Hunts are often see as a fun team building activity to do. And of course, they are! But they are also an opportunity to experience these and other "core skills" in the real world, face to face with the people you are likely to be using them with. Why not sit down with me over a brew and let me explain how our unique adventure experiences can support the personal and professional development of your staff in a unique and engaging way. What's the worst that can happen - apart from spending time with me? Actually, you might have a point there.....!

There are many variations of these lists with different emphases - this captures and conveys most of those pretty well. I would also consider here the skills associated with good citizenship and for young people in schools, assume the various literacies are a given.

Soft skills are the very things I focus on the most. They are skills that are assumed everyone should have and are often taken for granted.
