Job Seekers Don’t let the short work week fool you. The holiday season doesn’t mean you hit pause on those applications. Here’s the deal: Recruiters and hiring managers are about to come back from their turkey comas ready for a final sprint to 2025. And guess what? That sprint includes hiring. So while everyone else is stuffing their faces and sleeping off the pie.. You? You’re showing up, applying, and sliding into DMs like the bold badass you are. Get ahead of the game. The job you want is still out there.

Let’s face it. If we are feeling rough by Wednesday somethings not right. Time to check in? Make space. Reset. Attend. What needs to change? Every little thing matters and when it comes to work… for me attention to detail is what makes the difference. #checkin #workit #reset

The first week of December at work has been eventful, filled with both positive moments and challenges requiring action. Amidst it all, I’m racing against time to head back to my hometown tonight. It hasn’t been easy, as tickets are selling out fast, and most of the reliable bus providers are fully booked. Left with no other choice, I had to settle for an option with no guarantee of arriving on time. This situation reminds me of the job search process. As a job seeker, you have the privilege of choosing the path that suits you best, whether it’s the type of company (private, GLC, government, SME, MNC), the work location, the brand reputation, or the salary and benefits. However, these choices often come with trade-offs. A high-paying job in a prestigious company might also mean long hours, heavier workloads, frequent travel, or maintaining exceptional quality standards. Just like chasing a bus ticket, the more you invest, the better the service you can expect. Similarly, if you aim for a top-tier company with an attractive package, be prepared to meet their high expectations. Wishing you a great weekend ahead!

Tip of the day from @theagencyleague Read the Job Description carefully before applying for a new job! Make sure you have the experience they are asking for, make sure you check all the must haves listed, if it says local candidates make sure you are local and references are required when applying for a household position!

And we are back! Overcoming Post-Holiday Blues Today marks the return to work for many of us, and while it can be challenging to get back into the groove after a long holiday, there are silver linings to embrace: Even if Sunday's responsibilities may not seem thrilling, remember that having a job is a privilege many aspire to. Take a moment to appreciate the stability it provides. For those currently seeking employment, each Sunday brings you closer to new opportunities and the chance to explore fresh ventures. If you're anticipating a business deal or contract signing, look forward to the momentum picking up again next week. Those awaiting job offers post-interview can expect progress as signatures and final details get sorted out. While long holidays offer refreshment, the excitement of returning to work fuels productivity and professional development. Cheer up and make the most of the week ahead!

I think we're all ready to say goodbye to 2024. But the year is not over yet gang.... Reiterating what I saw James Osborne post about last week - we've still got time left until that Christmas break and the new work year starts. It can be tempting to start winding down, reducing the pace and taking your eye off the ball. Telling yourself things like, 'there's no point in doing any BD', or 'no candidates are going to want to speak to me at this time of year'. WRONG The best consultants are the ones grafting until that very last day in work. The best consultants are ALWAYS trying to create opportunities for themselves. The best consultants have a January diary prepped and ready, with meetings, calls and follow ups scheduled, so they can come back with a bang. 💥 So the choice is yours...be the best, or be bang average. I know what I'm picking. #KeepGoing #WorkHard #CreateOpportunities #RecruitmentTip
