Yesterday, I had the inspiring opportunity to participate in Dress For Success National Mentoring Day program featuring guest speaker Erica Anderson Rooney, host of the 'Glass Ceilings and Sticky Floors' podcast. Her message was powerful and universal: we often limit ourselves through our own beliefs. Whether it's imposter syndrome, fear, burnout, or perfectionism (sound familiar?), these self-imposed barriers can hold us back. Two insights particularly resonated: "Done is Better Than Perfect" "Rejection is Protection" That last one hit home. In today's competitive job market, not getting chosen for a role can actually be a blessing in disguise. Erica reminded us that we have the power to control our thoughts, actions, and perspectives. After Erica's great presentation, we jumped into mock interviewing and mentoring sessions. As someone who's passionate about career development, these hands-on opportunities to support others with interview preparation and job search guidance are incredibly fulfilling. Nothing energizes me more than helping fellow professionals build confidence and navigate their career journeys. 🎧 If you're looking for more insights, I highly recommend checking out her podcast! #CareerDevelopment #WomenInBusiness #MentoringMatters #ProfessionalGrowth

What a great episode, Snezana Djuric Stefanovic Marija Pajic! I particularly found the part about quiet quitting and career development for employees not wanting to become managers especially interesting. Rather disappointingly, it feels as if it's become expected that these aspects will be neglected by companies. I've talked about these things in exit-interviews in the past, but I wonder if anything is actually done about it? Looking forward to more content Snowation! https://lnkd.in/d3AVdPUn #Coaching #Career #Development
