We know that wellbeing is as important to us as it is to our clients and peers - and what a great way to start the conversation of how businesses can work together to create mentally healthy workplaces.
In a recent wellbeing event co-hosted with TAQA Group in Abu Dhabi, over 60 people participated in mindful meditation. We discussed ways we can integrate wellbeing practices in the workplace. Our objective was to raise awareness, normalise conversations on wellbeing and to create a local community around this important topic. Ben Ward, A&O partner, shared at the event, “We are working towards sustainable and healthy high performance. Where we encourage our team to speak openly about their wellbeing and be unafraid to seek help should they need it. We all have a personal and collective responsibility in creating a mentally healthy culture.” Kevin C., General Counsel at TAQA, added, “We recognise that this is a journey and an ongoing conversation on this important topic.” Read our takeaways including wellbeing tips from Dr. Ottilia Brown, PhD. Thank you to our supporters including Elliott Sawford, The LightHouse Arabia and Jyoti Choitram. #Wellbeing #AllIn

The hospitality industry is constantly on the move, especially in places like Dubai, where life never seems to slow down. With residents dining out almost three times a week and tourists flooding in, the pressure on the industry is intense. It’s a world full of opportunities but also some serious challenges for those working behind the scenes. Think about it: Irregular hours, working weekends and holidays, and dealing with high-pressure situations can really take a toll. It’s no surprise that stress and burnout are common. But it doesn’t have to be this way. What if we started focusing more on the well-being of the people who make our experiences at hotels and restaurants so memorable? Flexible schedules could help them find a better balance between work and personal life. Mental health awareness and open communication could make a huge difference in reducing stress. Creating a supportive and understanding work culture isn’t just about keeping employees happy—it’s about building a stronger, more resilient workforce. And when employees feel valued and engaged, it shows in their work. That’s a win-win for everyone, from the staff to the customers and the business itself. At the end of the day, taking care of the people who take care of us is good business and also the right thing to do. ------------------------------------------------- Hi ! Thrilled to share highlights from the Employee Health & Wellness Workshop I conducted last week at Interior Three Sixty Contract Furniture, where we delved deep into practical, sustainable strategies for eating right, staying active, and managing stress—tailored specifically for today’s busy professionals. Here’s a quick look at some of the key takeaways that got everyone motivated to make positive lifestyle changes: 🍎 Nutrition for Working Professionals We discussed how balanced meals rich in both macro and micro nutrients are the backbone of sustained energy and mental clarity. I shared actionable tips for eating well during the week, keeping meals nutritious and balanced, while saving treats for the weekend. This balance supports productivity and helps avoid that post-lunch energy slump many of us face. 💪 The Power of Daily Workouts Beyond fitness, regular exercise is essential for mental health and stress relief. I demonstrated a few simple, office-friendly exercises that anyone can do without a gym. These quick movements keep energy up, reduce stiffness, and refresh the mind—perfect for maintaining productivity throughout the day! 🌬️ Breath work & Stress Management In our fast-paced work environments, stress can be a daily companion. We explored breathwork techniques that bring calm in minutes, as well as stress management tips for maintaining a sense of control and ease, even on the busiest days. 🧠 Nutrition & Lifestyle Impact on Productivity and Longevity What we eat and how we live directly influence our focus, energy, and longevity. Healthy lifestyle choices extend beyond personal health—they translate into greater productivity, innovation, and job satisfaction. Thank you to everyone who attended with such enthusiasm. Together, we’re building healthier, happier, and more resilient workplaces! #EmployeeWellbeing #Health #Wellness #Worklifebalance #Wellbeing #Productivity #Dubai #UAE
