20 years....   Last week marked my 20 years with SCA (formerly Regional Mediaworks and Southern Cross Broadcasting).   Im often asked about why I’ve stayed for so long and I generally reply it’s because of the culture, the people, the opportunities and the fact that no 2 days have ever been the same.    As we were celebrating this achievement in the office a colleague asked me what was the top 3 things I’ve enjoyed throughout my career, it had me quickly reflecting and this is what I shared with the team:    1. PEOPLE - The media industry is a special place, and the people I’ve worked with, both internally and externally is what makes it so special. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from and collaborating with so many talented, inspiring, and amazing individuals.   To all my colleagues, mentors, and clients that have shaped and challenged me across my career, I’ll be forever grateful. While there are far too many of you to name individually, I’m sure you know who you are. I’m very lucky to call many of you friends.   2. OPPORTUNITIES - My career has been filled with moments I couldn’t have imagined when I started. Promotions, professional development, worldwide travel, corporate hospitality, and some magical entertainment experiences where I’ve had to pinch myself to believe I’ve been part of it.   These opportunities haven’t just shaped my career, they have shaped me as a person, a husband and father. I consider myself lucky to work in a role and industry that I enjoy so much.   3. PURPOSE - Perhaps the most rewarding part of this journey has been finding my purpose. Through challenging projects, skill-building, and self-discovery, I’ve grown not just professionally, but personally.   What drives me now is the chance to pay it forward. Mentoring and guiding the next generation of talent to discover their potential and passion is where I’ve found some of my greatest satisfaction.   As I look back, I feel immense gratitude for the past 20 years - from the people, the lessons, and the growth. And as I look ahead, I’m excited for what the next chapter holds.   Here’s to the journey so far and the possibilities yet to come!   LA

Today is a very special day for me – I’m celebrating 20 years with Kaufland Romania! 🎂 20 years is almost half of my life spent in one company. I know, for some, that might seem unimaginable. 🫣 I still can’t believe I’ve reached this milestone, but above all, I feel deeply grateful for all the people who have been with me along the way: offering advice, guidance, patience, challenges that helped me grow, time to listen, and knowledge that I’ve come to embrace. 🫶 So, I believe the most meaningful way to mark this occasion is to give back what’s been given to me: time, guidance, and knowledge. How? With an initial 20 hours of coaching available to those who’d like to connect in the coming weeks. The Power of Teamwork Success in retail isn’t a solo effort—it’s a team achievement. As a CVS Store Manager, I’ve seen firsthand how a cohesive, motivated team can turn even the busiest days into smooth operations. From ensuring our customers leave satisfied to supporting each other behind the scenes, teamwork is the cornerstone of everything we do. One thing I emphasize to my team: every role matters. The cashier, the stock associate, the pharmacy team—everyone contributes to the bigger picture. To my fellow leaders: invest in your people. Recognize their contributions, celebrate wins (big or small), and watch your team thrive together.

A year ago today, I thought I had officially hit the peak of my career. It was announced that we (Digitas North America) had won our pitch to LVMH, which simultaneously felt like a dream come true after all the hard work, late nights, and invigorating creative moments (and it is genuinely my dream company to work for) while also feeling very much like the bittersweet conclusion, as I knew I would not be continuing to officially onboard this incredible new client. However, two days later I realized that I had received the greatest promotion of my career. Under my new title, mom, I found that my career wasn’t over. My skills of organization, time management, creative problem solving under pressure, and training/teaching were just given a new challenge and opportunity for me to level up. Returning to work after my maternity leave, I have found myself bursting at the seams with growth and feeling so ready to continue to level up. I got lucky (or maybe I made my own luck) in that I was able to work for that dream client, building their audiences, for a small stint while transitioning back, before rolling on full time to another pretty incredible team serving another extraordinary client, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company . I used to think that life and work were in competition. That was why you need to "balance" in the work/life arena. But in reality, work is part of life and growth in life is a part of growth in the workplace. These are not competing parts of ourselves, but rather an integrated apparatus from which we form our whole selves. Do not fear growth in any area of your life. 🎱🎱🎱This week I celebrated my EIGHT YEAR anniversary working for Steven Bartlett and Team DOAC. 🎢🎢🎢🥹🥹🥹 That’s a long time working in one place and some may query: - WHY stay in one place for so long? I know my why and more broadly speaking, here’s a few answers that may help you in your role: 1. A 1% mentality is at the forefront of our efforts. When innovation and ‘staying ahead’ is a key marker of accountability; learning and education is fundamental to survival and develops my skill-stack on all parts (personally and professionally) 📚📚📚. 2. We are privy to open / frequent communication. A leadership team that listens matters 👂🏻👂🏼👂🏽. 3. A great TEAM. Strict / fair recruitment principles in place guarantee that I share the floor with only world-leading talent (who happen to be nice people that I care about too) 🫶🏼🫶🏽🫶🏾. 4. I enjoy the (healthy) competition of working with people who are better than me and exposure to experts is a privilege 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️. 5. Investment into people / culture is a priority and I belong to a safe space that encourages work / life balance as well as progression ⚖️⚖️⚖️. 6. I’m frequently exposed to new experiences and my boss recognises the best areas in which to use my talent. I feel empowered in those opportunities 🌍🌍🌍. 7. I don’t clock-watch or have Monday-fear. Ever ⏰⏰⏰. Your WHY / priorities may not be the same as mine although hoping these help with longevity and happiness in your career.
