Tom N.’s Post

If you haven't messed with Google's NotebookLM (https://lnkd.in/eXVY9kev) , you are missing out. I took the ClickHouse whitepaper and uploaded it. It creates a study guide, quiz, faq, you can ask questions against it and it also suggests questions to ask. The coolest part is it creates a podcast which I've linked below. So very cool. You can upload many docs at once and they say they don't keep any of this. (it is google so... I wouldn't go upload my taxes or anything to them..) (cc Tanya Bragin for when you are interviewing candidates. lol ) === ClickHouse: Lightning Fast Analytics for Everyone - Study Guide Quiz Answer the following questions in 2-3 sentences each. What is ClickHouse and what are its key features? How does ClickHouse handle large datasets and high ingestion rates? What are the three main categories of table engines in ClickHouse? === ClickHouse FAQ 1. What is ClickHouse? ClickHouse is an open-source, column-oriented OLAP database management system (DBMS) developed by ClickHouse, Inc. It's known for its exceptional performance in processing analytical queries on large datasets, often exceeding the speed of traditional database systems. 2. What are the key features of ClickHouse? Column-oriented Storage: ClickHouse stores data by columns instead of rows, reducing I/O and speeding up queries that only need specific columns. Data Compression: It employs efficient compression algorithms (LZ4, Gorilla, etc.) to minimize storage space and I/O costs. Data Pruning: Techniques like primary keys, projections, and skipping indexes help ClickHouse avoid scanning unnecessary data. === Podcast: https://lnkd.in/eevvXaMQ
