MWC24 Las Vegas - Day 3 Recap
Alex and I started the day off by speaking with Mobile World Live about the common themes and takeaways from the event.
Just to capture a few…
- Enterprises want a Partner, not a vendor, who will be with them throughout their entire journey
- Security is of the utmost importance, especially in mission critical networks
- While Enterprises understand that private 5G has definite technical beneifits, they just want help in addressing their problems, and just “want it to work” in the end
- A diverse Partner ecosystem is necessary in private wireless to addresss all the pieces of the use case puzzle
- Enterprises, SIs, and MSPs do see the value that Nokia brings with thier vast deployment experience, and their carrier-grade radio accesss solutions, with rich feature sets and roadmaps
- It is important to understand the difference between IT and OT and the potential challenges in bringing the two worlds together in private 5G
- Enterprises, SIs and MSPs believe in Nokia’s anyRAN for Enterprise approach, and see it as proof that Nokia truly understands the Enterprise space and the need for flexibility to allow Enterprises to pick the e2e solution that is the best fit for them
I closed our discussion with Mobile World Live by suggesting that we meet at next year’s event and look back and see how accurate our predictions were, and how things have evolved/changed. Stay tuned!
I leave super excited about the opportunities ahead for private 5G in the industry, and that we are no doubt on the right trajectory for Nokia to be the most trusted priavte 5G partner in the world.
Next stop… UBBA Plugfest, Nov 5-7, Kansas City, MO. See you there!
