"SPARTAN PROJECT" COMPLETED (MINUS 50 KG ✅ ) How do I begin describing something so extraordinary for me? I have no idea. Perhaps just by highlighting why I am sharing this on Linkedin and a few bullet points about this extraordinary journey: - Whatever I do, I never follow the crowd and I must enjoy every moment of the process. All Silicon Valley-style advises were disregarded. Burn more calories per day than you consume, so simple. My friend who lost also a lot told me "The key is nežrat" :) And it kind of worked. I don't like healthy food, I ate what I wanted. But only twice a day and kept my extreme sports routine 💯 - Combination of sports is essential. In my case, I hate gym and running (Boring 🤯 ). Hence, it was for me about a combination of badminton, swimming (relax), group lessons in the gym (I still do easily 2-3 right after each other), and OCR racing (My new love). When I see other people around me suffering more than I do, I feel happy 😂 - losing weight is literally like project management ✍ No shortcuts, set up some "kind of a plan" and then hard work. Milestones were especially painful. Whenever I hit some rounded-up number, I got stuck around it for a while 💔 - the motivation is key. In my case, it was not about looking good or women. It was purely about my love for sports and physical activity which I want to maintain until 60+ years of my age. With my previous weight, it won't be possible. One of my friends challenged me 2 years back in badminton by saying that without my extra weight, I would be destroying him in badminton. And he was right 💪 I have not lost to him in a competitive match for more than a year. When somebody tells me that something is impossible, it drives me crazy and I want to conquer it no matter what 😇 - Why am I writing this on Linkedin? Because I do business only with people I know and understand. I like reading the posts of other people here because I care to know what is happening to them. Yes, it might be a "fake social" reality but it also shows me what those people care about. And this journey is something I really cared about. And it is not over yet! If you want to build a relationship with me, do some of these activities together with me. It is a bonding experience like no other ❤️ Over the last two years, many people around me bragged how they would run some of those races with me but ultimately only Patrik Sobek, Jan Ondruš, Michal Jakšík, and Jakub Zíka delivered and joined me. In 2025, I will do the ultimate test by giving it a go on the most difficult Spartan race in the world (Ultra level - 55km, 70 obstacles, mountain terrain, August). I would never believe it but I call now Prague Marathon in May 2025 as a warm-up to see how painful this will be. Why? Because I run all of my OCR races so far without any preparation. As I said, I don't like what others do. I will just stand at the starting line, work hard, and wish for the best relying purely on my motivation/will 😂

Fandím! Ja zatím neuběhl vice než klasicky 40km maraton, ale jednu věc jsem se přeci jen naučil. “Discipline takes you places, where motivation can’t” tak doufám, že za tím motivačním proslovem máš skutečný plán;) Jít do takových výzev bez pořádné přípravy je koledovat si o úraz tak to nepodceňuj. Ja si kvůli nedostatečné přípravě v Hk před lety vymknul kotník a zlomil 5 metatrasal na pravé noze a několik měsíců jsem chodil o berlich + dalších par měsíců trvalo než jsem začal zase normálně chodit a běhat -> to nechceš.
Jako clovek co par let zpet absolvoval jeden zavod (na druhou stranu byl nocni! 😄) tak vim jakou namahu to da, takze respekt :)
Cool, Tomas! Just as you wrote - it's all about the journey and enjoying the whole process. That smiling look on your face is contagious. Endorphins are flushed out and that's why we all smile like that after sports.. 😁

Tome, wow! Jen tu zdravou (vyvazenou) stravu bych nepodcenovala. Nejen kvuli sportu, ale obecne zdravi. A neni potreba zit na kureti s ryzi. ☺️

2wTomáši, padám z toho postu a vašeho posunu na zadek. Neskutečná změna, úplně jste omládl a i když píšete, že jste na sobě mákl hlavně kvůli svému zdraví a výhledu do budoucna (chápu), tak už je pohled do zrcadla o něco veselejší, nebo ne? Padesát dolů nedám, to jsem asi začínal váhou moc nízko, ale letošních - 25 stejně oslavím. Držím palce, ať nepřijde žádný úraz a ať vám to s těmi závody vyjde. Určitě si rád přečtu, jak jste dopadl... 👏👏👏
