United Plastics located at Campbellfield, VIC are currently undertaking some fairly large upgrades of their processing equipment, and it was observed that the current power supply would not be sufficient to support the upgrade. Through focusing on reducing the base load consumption with the installation of a Static Var Generator, we were able to enhance the power capabilities of the plant with the existing infrastructure. This solution has allowed United Plastics to save costs on additional upgrades whilst reducing overall pressure on the power network.
Well done Tom.

4moNice work Tom. Is this providing PF correction to then reduce overall kVA demand on base load or taking the top off the VArs at peak?
