Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, school systems seized the opportunity to invest in technology, enhanced by federal stimulus aid. However, a recent federal report reveals that while many districts directed funds towards hardware, internet connectivity, and ed-tech tools, they encountered hurdles in maximizing these investments. 💻💡 With the influx of approximately $190 billion across three rounds of stimulus, districts prioritized bulk device purchases, teacher training, and student support services. Yet, as the deadline for spending approaches, challenging decisions persist. 📚🏫 As districts anticipate the end of federal aid, they face the fiscal cliff, grappling with sustaining programs and managing ongoing costs. With staffing challenges and concerns about program retention, the future of ed-tech initiatives remains uncertain. 📉🔍 How can districts navigate this impending challenge and ensure the longevity of their technology investments?
