Last week, I sat down to review as many computer vision research papers I could from this July's CVPR 2024. While the awarded and mentioned ones were great and deserve all the accolades, I found some noteworthy ones that perhaps, missed out on laurels. Sharing a post about them along with an assessment on why their contributions matters for the future of computer vision. #computervision #deeplearning #ml #ai

Dear Connections, 🚀Thrilled to announce the publication of our latest research work titled "A computationally efficient speech emotion recognition system employing machine learning classifiers and ensemble learning" in the International Journal of Speech Technology - IJST (2024)! 📝🎉 Emotions are the cornerstone of human communication, and accurately recognizing them from speech is crucial for personalized interactions and improved user experiences across various industries 🗣️💡. In our study, we delved deep into the complexities of SER, exploring Mfcc features and spectrograms along with pre-trained models. We further boosted our results by employing ensembling methods such as catboost and weighted voting. 🔗Link to the paper: https://lnkd.in/gm-FPM8h 🔗DOI: https://lnkd.in/gF7593Vi Special thanks to my mentor, Dr. AISHWARYA N. , and co-author Dr. Karthik Seemakurthy, for their invaluable guidance and collaboration throughout this journey. 🙌 #SpeechEmotionRecognition #MachineLearning #Research #EnsembleLearning #SER #Amritavishwavidyapeetham
