Yesterday, we successfully hosted two meetups at our offices in Munich and Unterföhring, welcoming numerous guests. In our office at Arabellastraße, the AI & Prompt Engineering Meetup took place for the second time. AI enthusiasts and experts from various fields exchanged views on the latest advances in Generative AI and discussed innovative ideas. A particular focus was placed on effective prompt engineering when using AI tools such as ChatGPT. In parallel, we organised the MUC:SEC Meetup at our headquarters in Unterföhring. Our colleagues presented practical and playful approaches to raise awareness of IT security as well as insights into how AI - especially in the form of deepfakes - can influence public opinion. A big thank you to everyone who made these two meetups possible. We appreciate the great interest and look forward to our upcoming events.

Last week at my invitation, Swarna Kuruganti offered a brief GenAI awareness-building session on zoom to a private, non technical group who belong to the Principle Quest community. She shared the anticipated impact of GenAI on personal productivity and professional opportunities. As one attendee put it, 'Astounding that you just taught us this much info in less than 30 mins!!!' Swarna shared topics like the evolution of GenAI, key role of mathematics in GenAI models, the conversational nature of prompts, opening our eyes to the many implications on how we interact with AI. Fascinating questions & discussion followed about energy use, IP privacy, debate on definition of creativity, and limits to AI. An AI twin in my future? Thank you again, Swarna!"

We filled the arcade hall this morning at Electric Works with over 100 people in attendance! 🎉 I'm so grateful for the panelists that volunteered their time to share their insights on the topics of Ethical and Responsible Use of AI. In the same token, I'm very grateful for those that attended... It's easy to shy away from this topic.... even avoid it altogether. Addressing ethical and responsible use of AI isn't 'required reading' for using this tech, but clearly Fort Wayne proved that they're eager and willing to learn. Because look at this turnout! They #ShowedUp. We learn and grow as we share our experiences together. And in my mind there's no better way to learn and grow than by discussing, debating, or even disagreeing completely. You HAVE to constantly re-think your position on AI as new insights are brought to the table. You have to embrace nuance, and you have to know that 'you don't know what you don't know'. Changing your beliefs/opinions/feelings about AI is the constant. In fact, the change is the ONLY constant. I talked to a few people after the event that disagreed with some of the opinions of the panelists and they loved it, because they loved that we are talking. Not that everyone agrees. In fact, the disagreements are what help us learn. I'm certainly not an expert on Ethical and Responsible Use, but in my gut I knew that this conversation was an important one to have. And this event was a massive success. My hope is that the people in attendance today left the event to talk to their co-workers, students, families, and others about topics we discussed this morning and that it will start that conversation for others. I will end this absurdly (sorry not sorry 🤣) long post with something that Andie Hines-Lagemann said today. 'What's most important is that we care for others. That we care for the people that we are surrounded by now and the people in the next generations. When we maintain that core belief, we make responsible and ethical decisions.' Thank you to Andie, Andrew DeGood, Scott Howard, Amal Khalifa and Kai Blakeborough for helping me put on a very successful event this morning! #AIinFW #FortWayneAI #AI #AIEvent #ArtificialIntelligence #EthicalAI #ResponsibleAI

Different by Design. Helping you create momentum & progress with a human centered approach to your small business.
As I continue to educate myself on AI - in a deeper way - human-useful ways to use it, greater effects it has that no one seems to mention, etc... This audio deep dive was seriously educational about the climate and energy impact of AI. https://lnkd.in/eXUh-sER

A really practical example of how Version 1 can support our customers in the use of AI to deliver successful outcomes!
Last year, we were privileged to support The National Museum of Computing #TNMOC with a ground-breaking generative AI app that makes the museum exhibits accessible to everyone. We went along to see for ourselves how this makes the experience entirely accessible and enjoyable for visitors. Want to find out more?
