🚨 Fighting Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) with Vaccines 🦠💉On October 2024, the PrIMAVeRa project in collaboration with EFPIA - European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations and Vaccines Europe, presented key updates on our mission to demonstrate how #vaccines can reduce #AMR. During the meeting in Brussels, we discussed critical data gaps in European AMR surveillance, especially the limited data on pathogen-infection combinations and its impact on developing effective vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. New on the MAPGuide: NIAID - AbCellera, COVID-19 Exclusive Patent License Agreement This exclusive license agreement is between the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) , and AbCellera Biologics Inc., a Canadian biotechnology firm focused on researching and developing human antibodies. The Agreement is one of several agreements entered into by AbCellera to support the development of its COVID-19 response platform. The license covers the use of certain licensed patents and processes to make, use and sell licensed products. Exact details of the scope of the Licensed Patents, Processes, Products, Field of Use and Territory have been heavily redacted. The Agreement includes a number of provisions consistent with the model exclusive license agreement for institutes of the U.S. Public Health Service. These provisions include reserved rights for NIAID to grant research licenses, to practice licensed patent rights pursuant to existing or future treaties, and to modify or terminate the agreement to meet public use requirements. AbCellera also commits to making the product available to patient assistance programs, and making commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that the product is reasonably accessible to the U.S. public.
