Long overdue. It was a very beloved brand ruined by a lot of poor ownership groups and management teams. Strategically, the Mexican casual dining space still has no national competitor yet the market for it is huge.

Anybody want to go to Chi Chi's? You're in luck. Chi Chi's is making a comeback decades after shutting down because why not, everybody else is doing it. Also I would like to petition to change the meaning of "zombie restaurant chain" to note concepts that are coming back from the dead. Honestly, the number of such brands (Steak & Ale ... Sweet Tomatoes ... Ground Round ... now Chi Chi's) is enough to fill a George Romero movie.

Chi Chi's always had great margaritas...and lousy food. Hope they fixed the latter!
